Room was ok. Tap in bathroom is broken room 101 as well. Tv was not the easiest to switch on. ||Hot food in the evening was not hot. I had pan fried white fish with potatoes and broccoli. The fish was hot everything else was cold and under cooked. My husband went for fish chips and mushy peas. The mushy peas were stone cold. We both sent our meals back twice with the same issue. In the end we both had a burger with instructions please make it piping hot. It did come out and was ok. ||Breakfast my husband wanted porridge it came out with the consistency of wallpaper paste. 2nd go was better and had more body to it. ||The hot buffet breakfast was lukewarm at best. The Bain Marie’s were not maintaining the heat. I used to work as a chef and if the baked beans are cold then it’s all cold. I even put my knuckles against the heater under the Bain Marie’s and I could hold my hand there without feeling it was too hot that I had to remove my hand. ||They were using the temperature probes, but I saw that they stabbed it through the sausage to the tin below. So, the temperature reading is of the metal tin and not the core temperature of the sausage. The mushrooms were halfway cooked, bacon was cold and leathery and sausage’s inedible. ||We have stayed here before and had better meals but I get the feeling the chef is not understanding of what hot food is meant to be going in the food from Friday night and Saturday morning breakfast. ||We have stayed at other Marriott hotels with no issues. I think a review of staff training and equipment for the breakfast service is desperately needed.

Our Room & Bathroom was spotless and of course spacious. (With a Fridge) Reception team were polite & helpful. Our second time at Delta Marriott Birmingham. Shopping facilities are 20mins away on the Tram & a few yards away from the hotel there is a well established supermarket and Dry Cleaners. Restaurants too. Excellent location. I recommend…?

Reception staff always smart, welcoming, professional, knowledgeable, helpful and always polite and with a smile. I’ve stayed at the Marriott in Birmingham several times and always marvel at the impeccable housekeeping. The rooms are spotless and beautifully turned out. Lovely relaxing hotel.

Wiktoria and Jaimin are absolutely amazing. I have been staying at this hotel for a few years but everytime I come they always look after me, they are very friendly and know how to look after their customers. The whole reception staff really makes a good first impression and ensure guest experience is flawless from start to finish.

Wiktoria has to by far be the best receptionist I have come across in a long time. We checked out Sunday morning and she gave us restaurant recommendations and it didn’t disappoint! We went to Perios located just by the canals and the food as well as drinks were amazing. She also looked after our bags and generally made us feel like she cared about the questions we were asking her. She even offered to extend our parking if we went over the 24 hour period. The kids have been given little goody bags and they were over the moon. While everyone was great I definitely think Wiktoria deserves some recognition for the work she does!

Nobody at the Front Desk when I arrived at 5:30pm. The room had no AC so I had a poor night's sleep because it was too warm. The room was dirty. There was no fridge or bottled water in the room. Weird art on the wall of someone being possessed by mushrooms for some reason, just creepy.

Beautiful building and entrance were the only real positives. Also has a pretty good gym for a hotel.

Vic & Umar were the best staff I have came across in a hotel in a long time. After a really difficult day, they were extremely kind upon my arrival and I felt truely welcomed to the hotel. I’m so grateful for their kindness & I feel they went above and beyond!

This is the second time I’ve stayed here in recent months. My general impression is that it is overpriced for the standard of the accommodation and service offered. I will be visiting Birmingham again soon but I will not be returning to this hotel. The first stay we had a bathroom door that creaked loudly and the shower had exceptionally low water pressure. Our second stay we were in a room with paper thin walls so you could hear everything going on next door. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice and you can ask for pancakes, omelettes etc to be made although this wasn’t told to us during our first stay.
