Me and my daughter had a lovely stay. We slept very well, the bed were very comfortable and pillows and the room was lovely and clean and had everything in there we needed. We were both very happy. Swimming pool was lovely just needs modernising and floors cleaned as were dirty. However, over all very pleased and love to stay again.

I had the pan crispy Sea Bass with, coconut curry potato gratin, samphire grass, and lobster cream. I didnt want it to end. Sanoop the chef cooked it to perfection. A great combination of textures and flavours. Straight into my top 10 meals of all time. Thank you Sanoop

We..My husband and I had a prolinfed stat at the Delta Hotel Marks Tey. We also took our pet dog.| For whom a bed bowls and treats and even a toy was prov provuded for her. Our room was spacious with av large flat screen tv. Drinking water in room and hydration points around the hotel. A cooler in roon was also provided and restaurant. Breakfast was excellent with multi choices. Lovely garden for dog walking and firlds. A spavwith swimmi g pool. Sauna and steam rooms and gym. Perfect stay but moreso was the staff. Receptionusts, Scarlet, Olivier, Charlotte to bame but a few, waitress and waiter at breakfast and wven the cleaners were happy and welcomed you lije everybody else, with a big smile. I feel Scarlet went thevfurther nile in gettunf ys booked in and alsi at a fair and very cimparable rate. Really, your staff at the hitel could not be mire polite frirndly, professional and very helpful. We would defi itely stay there afain.||Jihn and Joy Wenman.

The cleaners were rude: we phoned the reception on our departure day to request a late checkout and the reception staff told us that would be fine and we could vacate at 13:00, I offered to pay the fee there but the receptionist said we could settle when we checked out. A cleaner knocked on our door at 11:45 and told us we needed to get out, it was clear there had been no communication with the reception staff and the cleaning staff. We decided to leave anyway as didn't particularly enjoy being the recipients of the dirty look from the cleaners. We had purchased £50 worth of packaged cheese as a gift and as we had to leave so quickly this was left in the hotel fridge, we returned later to find that the cleaners had disposed of this (what a surprise). Also, the walls are paper thin, me and my 4 year old were woken up at 3:30am by the lady in the room next to us having a phone conversation, we could also hear her flush her toilet. Not really a restful nights sleep and we certainly wouldn't return.

• Lovely, friendly staff!
• Cafe close to reception, main restaurant and swimming pool just round the back of the hotel.
• Heated pool with sauna’s, separate changing rooms and gym with basic equipment.
• Nice room with comfy bed, very spacious with many lighting options. Desk for work or getting ready.
• Bathroom (which is also very spacious), is stunning, the shower is huge! Good food menu with different dishes, (room service also).
• Great stay and I would come again. 😁

Hotel has been beautifully renovated and is modern clean and wonderful service. Highly recommended for both business and pleasure. The restaurant food was great too. I must say the rooms were among the best I stayed in, really plush, lovely bathrooms. And the beds extremely comfortable. Highly recommended

The staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful and efficient. The upgrade to a bigger room came in handy for the extra luggage in transit from an Airbnb to my final destination at a home in Colchester. A special mention for the Indian chef who alternated between unique western dishes with a twist and Indian dishes with a touch of sophistication or spicy for the lovers of a hotter version. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay

We were looking for a nice hotel to stay close to family in Lexden while attending a family funeral. While searching Delta Hotel Marks Tey came up. The hotel is located in a nice area and is less than 10 mins to our family.|We booked an Executive room for 2 nights from 30th Jan to 1st Feb. |Checkin was seamless. The reception area is tastefully decorated. The Executive room is very spacious and well equipped. Our room was cleaned during our stay and towels replaced. The staff are very nice and professional … they went above and beyond our expectation.|Breakfast was lovely… wide range of choices. You can choose to have the Buffett breakfast or have ‘made to order’ from the breakfast menu. I had Egg Benedict … it was well made and tasted delicious (I wanted my eggs well done and not runny).|We understand that this hotel used to be called Marks Tey Hotel and only been taken over by Marriott in the past couple of months. They are doing lots of refurbishment in the hotel and I’m sure everything’ll come out beautifully after the whole renovation process.|I would recommend Delta Hotels by Marriott , Marks Tey to anyone looking for a nice hotel to stay in Colchester area.
