We booked the Celebration Package along with early check-in, but unfortunately, the early check-in wasn’t available upon arrival—the room wasn’t ready until 4pm, despite the early check-in being advertised from 12pm. This was disappointing as we had planned our day around arriving early.

The main waiting area and the hotel itself were pleasant, and the service staff were friendly and efficient throughout our stay. However, we observed the female manager (older than the rest of the team) speak quite unkindly and unprofessionally to staff members on several occasions in front of us. While she was polite to us, the way she addressed her team made us uncomfortable and didn’t reflect well on the overall atmosphere.

The wine flight was enjoyable and the wine itself was excellent. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the same standard. The focaccia was dry, the arancini ball was not warm in the middle, and while the salmon dish was tasty, it was overly salty. The pork belly was average—nothing particularly special.

Our hotel room was clean and comfortable, providing a good night’s rest. The breakfast the next morning was the highlight of our meals—it was hot, tasty, and served promptly.

Overall, a mixed experience: some lovely aspects, particularly the wine and breakfast, but let down by service inconsistencies and food that didn’t quite deliver on expectations for a celebration package.

This was our second stay in just over a year. The setting is beautiful, and the location is perfect with access to great walking country and also close to town.||The rooms are bright, spacious and airy with gorgeous views. There’s a generous hospitality tray…and great coffee machine. ||Beautiful weather meant we got to enjoy outdoor drinks. Such a perfect spot to do so.||During this stay we did encounter a couple of issues which took us by surprise given our previous experience. It was clearly a one off judging by recent reviews and the quality we had the first time around. Of note is the service recovery when the issues were raised - this was exceptional. True customer service.||Will we return! Absolutely. A beautiful place to stay.

My family and I came here for afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday. Although my husband mentioned this to our server soon after we arrived, no mention was made of this to me - not even a quick "Happy Birthday. Hope you enjoy your tea." I was not worth even that.||The sandwiches were lovely and, after asking, we were given a few more. However, the bread of the second lot of sandwiches was dry and hard. ||Now to the scones - these were dreadful, hard and dry. Not served warm, as they should be. There was jam in little jars.||There were no special teas on offer, so I took English Breakfast. We had to ask for a refill. In fact, at no point, did the server make a courtesy check and ask "how is your tea?" ||All in all, service was slow and impersonal. I will not book there again for any family celebrations nor recommend to friends.

We stayed at Denbies for our friend's 60th Birthday. We couldn't fault a thing!|The place itself is set in a lovely area with the vineyards surrounding the hotel. The staff were amazing, each and every one of them. Beccy who is front of house is very professional and you can tell the staff are well trained at each position they work in.|The little train tour is well worth doing and most interesting. We also did the wine tasting tour with Jeremy, who really makes it fun and is so knowledgeable.|The town of Dorking is a 20/25 minute walk away and has lots of lovely, pubs, restaurant, cafes and shops.|All in all, we would not hesitate to return and really hope we will be able to do that!|Thank you to all the staff at Denbies for ensuring we had a really great time.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Vineyard Hotel. Super quick to get here from London and we were lucky to enjoy some lovely sunny weather and walks on Box Hill. Room was lovely, clean and spacious, and the dinner we had at the hotel was fabulous. We didn’t understand previous negative reviews of the restaurant as our food (and of course the wine) was delicious and it is very reasonably priced for the quality. Special shout out to Flori and Carson for their exceptional service during our stay - will definitely be back!

My wife and I went to Denbies Vineyard Hotel recently while on quick weekend trip from London. Location is easy to get to from main train stations - nice little walk to hotel and easy to walk from Dorking city centre to hotel. We did experience that included tasting and breakfast which I recommend. Room was good size, no AC but able to open windows so kept things nice and cool. Dinner was the worst thing - slow service and not great menu options. Breakfast was very tasty and enjoyable. Fun getaway and enjoyed our stay.
