What a great little place!!

We had set a route from home in Essex to Arundel on Google Maps and I scrolled to the first part of the route where we got off the motorways and asked it to search for cafes in that area and it brought up Dennie's. The reviews were good so we added it as a stop and what a stop!

It's a bijou building at the side of the road with some kerbside parking outside and along stretches of the road. My advice would be to put the nearside wheels of your vehicle on the kerb to make sure passing lorries have enough room although the road is more than wide enough.

There was a table and chairs outside but once you step inside it's like a small cabin with the counter/kitchen in front of you and the walls decked with mugs etc.
There is a small set of stairs in the back left corner that lead you up to the first floor where there are 2x 2 seater tables, a small couch and coffee table and the toilet.
It really is compact in a great way.

We we upstairs and I ordered the full English with a white Americano and wifey had the scrambled eggs on toast and an orange juice.
The food was delivered promptly and was clearly cooked freshly to order and it was delicious.

It's obviously a very popular place with locals and regulars as a load of the trade is takeaway and he was busy throughout our stopover.
I'm not sure if you can order by phone and pick up or whether you have to order in person and wait as it is cooked and packed. Either way it's a great place to spend some time relaxing while you wait.

The owner, I'm ashamed to say I didnt ask his name, is a friendly guy who is willing to chat and listen and will tell you all about his change from business to being a cafe owner and chef.
We had a great time there and the food was outstanding.

Thanks for a great visit and good luck with it all.

I've tried to load the pictures in a logical order but it won't play 🤷🏼‍♂️🤬

Thr friendly invite from Mr Dennie will leave you in awe. The sandwiches are so good you will need to have a second helping. The coffee isn't bad either. Sat outside which is like being on the streets of Italy- with race cars pouring past. Next time I'll try upstairs. This is a good stop ✋️ so give it a go...

Well this was a find. In need of lunch and found this place. Naughty treats are mind blowing and the milkshakes are done properly 🙂 with ice cream. Won’t be the last time I come here. See you next time. Thank you.
