We stayed for two nights in June 2024 in our Motorhome. This is a very lovely location overlooking Derwent Reservoir. We had pitch 2 which was perfect. We were one of two campers staying so it's peaceful location and natural wildlife around the reservoir meant we could really unwind. They is plenty of walking close by either Pow Hill or walk around the reservoir. Showers were lovely and hot and clean! There isn't any other facilities on site re refreshments but that didn't bother us. You can walk into Edmundbyers to the Derwent Arms which is nice pub. Very relaxed site and Sam was very welcoming.

We stayed here for 2 nights in our motorhome.

A wonderful site with great surroundings and run by super people who are really helpful.

If you want a quiet and peaceful few days this is a perfect place with great views.

50 yards from the reservoir if you fancy a walk and 1.1 miles walk to the Derwent Arms pub which is lovely.

The back of the site is being developed into a bigger wedding venue which I think will be amazing in the near future.

I fully recommend this place - a lovely stay - thank you.

We stayed there in our campervan for a weekend. We had a fantastic time. All the staff are very nice, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is amazing and you can see a lot of work has been done to make this place special. The food is delicious and so is the Boat Shack lager. The milkshakes are awesome. I had the biscoff one and need more haha. We will be back ASAP.

Paul and his wife were so welcoming and kind, making sure our impromptu camping trip was a great success. It’s a beautiful spot with great views and a perfect place to explore the Pennines from. Lovely long walk around the reservoir. Highly recommend!
