This lovely hotel is such a gorgeous little place and inviting as well, the room was spacious and clean with tea/coffee station in the room, with a en suite bathroom with shower in. ||We had breakfast in the Quant dining room area and I must say it was delicious, the server we had was very hospitable and funny. He did tell me his name but I forgot but he had a bald head and glasses. ||I shall definitely be visiting again next time we are up this end of the country again.

Well, where to start... quite possibly the weirdest hotel stay I have ever had, and had we not arrived so late due to living far away and had our young son in tow (aged 5), I would have looked for somewhere else to stay.

1. We were greeted by someone from reception. Said we were here to check in, and he just replied, "Your room is upstairs," and we stood there like erm ok... he then eventually led us to our room. If he had told us a room number this would be less weird.

2. On entering the room, we realised we had a small double bed and no other bed despite their being 3 of us. Looking at the booking I realised this was my error, despite booking for 3 people it did offer this room and stupidly I presumed there must have been a pull out bed or something- don't make the same mistake as me unless you want to sing the nursery rhyme "there was three in the bed".

3. He provided us with a key and advised upon check out to just leave the key in the room. No problem with that. But what is bizarre is providing a key for a room that has no lock on the inside, only the outside. but with no way to lock the door from the inside we did have a security latch, which, if I'm honest did not make us feel particularly comfortable, and I definitely slept with one eye open!

4. There was a spy hole in the door, which had a little bit of paper in the spy hole. I did wonder who put this there and why. Again, it's a little odd

5. Cleanliness in the room it's self, bedding did appear clean and the carpet... but thick dust on the photo frame above bed, thick dust on skirting behind bedside tables, thick dust in radiators, and mould on windows. All in all, a tad grim.

6. The bathroom, well, I feel the local duck pond is likely cleaner. A smaller toilet seat than the toilet seat bowl. There was so much limescale on the shower head. Muck in the shower tray, including 12 pubic hairs and a foot print. Grout was mouldy.

7. Check out is between 7am and 11am. We woke ready to go out for the day. Realising we needed an iron. Two phones in the room with a dial tone, that say press '0' for reception and guess what!? It did not even ring. No noise or work. My husband popped downstairs to find everything locked up and no-one to be found. We don't mind that we were unable to use an iron, but it is concerning that we had absolutely no way of contacting anyone for anything, such as the disgusting lack of cleanliness in the room.

All in all, it is by far the worst place I have ever stayed, and I would not recommend this place to anyone

This hotel has potential to be a hidden gem in Crowthorne, but it needs significant improvements. I stayed in Room 5 at the front of the building. || • Room Lighting: The bedside lights had a missing bulb and a broken one, leaving us reliant on the main overhead light.|| • Comfort: The pillows were uncomfortably firm, which made restful sleep difficult.|| • Noise Issues: The room was noisy, with sounds from neighbouring rooms and traffic on the main road.|| • Booking Process: The online booking system was unreliable. Despite providing credit card details on the website, we were required to pay upon arrival and never received a booking confirmation or reference number.|| • Cleanliness and Maintenance: The room looked dated, with peeling paint and a bathroom floor that could benefit from a deep clean. There was an old bar of soap and a couple of hairs in the shower tray, which detracted from the cleanliness. Additionally, the replacement toilet seat didn’t fit properly.|| • Additional Concerns: A piece of paper had been stuffed into the door’s spyhole, and the main front door isn’t locked at night, which may be a security concern.|| • Staff: The gentleman who welcomed us was friendly and helpful, though his attire (ripped jeans) did not reflect a professional hotel standard.||||It’s disappointing to see a hotel in such an affluent area miss the mark. This could truly be a standout place in Crowthorne, but only if these issues are addressed. I’d be cautious of the previous 5-star ratings given by guests who seem to have only reviewed this property.

Can not recommend this hotel enough, great location and facilities. Had our business meeting here in September. The whole team within the hotel were so accommodating and polite. We had an exceptional lunch which was made to order. I will certainly be coming back!

This amazing little Hotel in Wokingham is a perfect location for a stay over or a day of conference/ business meetings, public transport is easily accessible from all main train and bus lines. With access to a Bar, Private Garden, 9 bedrooms and a dining hall that offers a great conference space, it had everything we needed. The staff and management were really friendly and were on hand and supported all of our requests. The catering was an added bonus, lunch was perfect catering for allergies and specific needs, coffee and pastries available on arrival really set us up for a day of creativity. Thank you Dial house we will be back soon !

I was absolutely disgusted the way the manager treated one of the other guests staying at the property. The manager was racist towards his family I have never seen anything like it in my time. For anyone thinking about staying here DO NOT!!!
Very disappointed with the service even the employees are rude.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful garden. Great food and service. Manager and staff were super friendly and could not be more accommodating during our stay. Rooms are spacious and clean. Quiet area that is close to public transport links, town and more.
