Stayed here in August 2023 & May 2025. Both times excellent. Rooms are quiet, clean, comfortable & affordable. The lads who run the place are very nice and it was the perfect home base for my visit to Yorkshire.

Used to really enjoy the restaurant and the hotel for functions, which were always fabulous. I have no idea what has happened but on my recent visit (having not visited for a couple of years) the food was best decribed as average. the quality and style just seemed to have vanished! ||However, the worst part of the visit was that the the staff seem to have no idea about dietry needs. These are often a very phyical and potentially life threatening and after asking multiple times for food without specific content, the serviing staff were clueless and even the chef (after being assured a soecific diet be catered for in advance,) still sent out food that was a threat to a member of our party. Even after sending this back then being reassured the allergy item was not in the food, it actually was and caused illness for a number of weeks!! DO NOT ASSUME DIETRY NEEDS ARE A LIFESTYLE CHOICE, these people could kill someone!!

We had our wedding here at the end of October 2024, it was absolutely amazing Marcus made the whole run up to the wedding seem effortless, he took care of everything and took all the stress from it. Marcus and his team made the whole day perfect we couldn't have asked for a better place to get married. The home cooked food was outstanding, we will be going back for a few meals. Our guest said it was a perfect location and also agreed the food was amazing. We would highly recommend and would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Dimple Well.

Attended a wedding 'Evening do'. Nice venue for dark, cold, wintery night. There was plenty of space to talk as the bar and a seating area were seperate from the dance floor and food tables. Butwhat impressed me most was the lads who were serving, glass collecting and manning the bar. So polite, welcoming and efficient. When the beer i ordered was a bit lively the barman chatted to me about it in a friendly manner whilst it settled, plates and glasses were removed from the tables in good time so nothing was left cluttered or untidy looking, extra plates were swiftly brought to the dessert table when it was noticed that there were none left, generous thermal jugs of coffee were brought to the table when we requested a coffee. Just really lovely and deserving of praise.

Stayed at Dimple Well Lodge on Saturday for my nephew's wedding reception. The place is beautiful, well maintained, and a well maintained garden which was a lovely back drop for pictures. The canapés were amazing and plentiful. Main meal and desert was lovely and a large portions. Very reasonable bar prices for a hotel. All the staff were helpful, polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was small however had everything you needed including a good supply of tea, coffee and a bottle of water. Complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer provided. Room was clean, bedding and towels were clean, smelt fresh and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was lovely, help yourself to cereal, juice, tea and coffee. Full English breakfast, toast and jam or your choice of a hot breakfast ie, beans on toast ect. Overall an excellent stay, would definitely go back and would highly recommend Dimple Well Lodge.

We visited here sadly for a wake but the place is lovely. The rooms are really nice and the food was absolutely superb. Cold buffet with wedges. The onion bhaji were superb. The chef kept popping in to see if any top ups were needed. A lovely place albeit visited in sad circumstances.

We got Married yesterday at Dimplewell, we literally had no idea what we were doing, we went for meetings with Marcus who made us feel at ease and took a lot of stress off us. He explained things thoroughly and was so well organised, both on the run up to the wedding and on the wedding day itself. The food was beautiful and everyone said the same. Our wedding is now over but we will be back for some Sunday dinner, as the food is beautiful 😍. Thank you so much.

Very average. Looks pretty outside but a lot of dilapidated decor inside, torn paper, scuffs, dust and dirt in rooms and common areas. Bedding and matresses were spotless. Food ok. Staff at times rude which was not appreciated. Convenient location. Free WiFi. Very quiet which was nice for how close to town it was.
Wouldn't NOT come again, but not as good as I expected, may have just been an off weekend.
