We came here for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and the staff are so friendly. This is a lovely pub. Will definitely come again. Very welcoming and excellent choice on the menu. Lovely wine selection and good ales on offer. A very nice place to enjoy Sunday lunch.

We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was tasty. All staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was lovely, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and had a 4 poster comfy bed. Large white fluffy towels and lots of hot water.
Large well maintained gardens with flower displays and established trees.

Visited recently for a catch up with my friends over a meal. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were professional and friendly. The meals were all served in a timely manner and were absolutely delicious. Happy to recommend and will be returning to enjoy their hospitality again soon.

We have eaten regularly at the dog and doublet for both breakfast and evening meal and both have been very good. Unfortunately, Sunday lunch is a very different experience.|The service is good and the staff are pleasant as always. However, the quality of the lunch is simply not good.|Potatoes over cooked meat really fatty and Yorkshire puds cremated.|Carrots had a strange taste with a large portion of red cabbage in the centre of the plate. ||Presentation is poor and simply not a good experience.

The food is so fresh tasty and piping hot. Everyone had a Great time with the food, staff, and surroundings. A highly recommend place and our current favourite for sure.

The food here is amazing, well worth the drive.
Great service all round.
Recommend having lunch or dinner here, and the breakfast is the best in Staffordshire.
Nice outside eating/drinking areas too.

Thank you to all of the lovely staff at The Dog and Doublet for a great overnight stay! We asked especially for a room with a bath as we live on a narrowboat and only have a shower on board so we really fancied a bath! The room was clean and welcoming, very comfortable and the bath did not disappoint!! We stayed for an evening meal which was absolutely gorgeous 10/10 and the ambiance in the bar was fantastic. Breakfast the next morning was amazing and was included in the room price which makes the whole thing extremely good value. When we are up this way again we will definitely be coming back. Anyone who is thinking of booking this place shouldn’t hesitate to- it’s a gem!!!

The food and atmosphere are amazing, the steak baguette and the breakfast wow! Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Rooms were very very clean and had everything you need, why did I mark it down? Water! If anyone uses a tap, toilet etc it was loud, like it's on full pressure, put some pressure regs on, sorted 😁👍deffo would come again thanks.
