This hotel is located in a very beautiful area, right by the riverside, where you can relax and enjoy picnics with views of ducks and swans. There's plenty of outdoor seating, making it a great spot to sit back and chill.

There are also many restaurants and pubs nearby, all within walking distance, which adds to the convenience.
There is a zoo just 15 minutes drive away.
You can hire canoe or kayak at very reasonable prices form just a few minutes away from this place.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the bathroom was spotless too. Breakfast was average—not bad, but nothing special.

However, the outdoor area could use more attention. The tables and seats along the riverbank were quite dusty and had spider webs on them, which took away from the otherwise lovely setting. A bit more cleaning outside would really enhance the experience.

Last minute booking was cheaper than we expected. The hotel room was wonderful and a fan was provided and that made the room amazing. |The hotel products in the bathroom smelled delicious. |The setting is picturesque, right on the river. |The gentleman who dealt with us when we arrived was very attentive. He had a problem with Booking.com but made sure we had water and made us comfy whilst we waited. |In the morning we didn’t have breakfast but the gentleman in the kitchen allowed me to have a glass of OJ, which was very much appreciated.

We've stopped at the hotel a couple of times now and have to say that we always receive such a warm welcome. Both rooms we have stayed in have been recently refurbished to an excellent standard. The breakfast this morning was very good, especially when considered in terms of overall value for money. The location is great, ample free parking. We will be back!

Very, very convenient location ( 2mins over adjacent footbridge to quaint town) but hotel & grounds were very tired and very run down & dirty in areas. Why the owners leave the vehicle and pedestrian entrance area dishevelled and covered with weeds and discarded metal security posts is beyond belief. The entire rear of the garden overlooking the lovely river area had such huge potential but was just uncut grass, weeds, filthy windows, broken furniture and dirty buildings with boarded windows and doors and covered in cobwebs etc. I noted from our 1st floor room the guttering outside was full of debris and weeds… one assumes it must overflow in rain and is again another example of how the buildings are ā€˜unloved’.|On arrivsl the reception wasn’t staffed and when the lady appeared she was very pleasant but noted, re breakfast, that they only do continental on Mon & Thur (Weds was the day of our stay!) this wasn’t noted in booking on phone the day previous. |No major issue as there’s a Wetherspoons 3 mins away on the high street. |Tbf having checked out the advertised ā€˜bar’ area, which is adjacent to the dining room where breakfasts are served facing the river, wasn’t open at any time we were there despite being advertised as such. Not a deal breaker as there are great local pubs and restaurants just over the old stone footbridge. ||This hotel has huge potential that’s not realised. To be fair the cost of rooms is comparatively inexpensive but there’s lots to note that isn’t really great. |Room was large but had a very musty odour - it did clear when Velux windows both opened but inside those the frames were filthy with gunge. |The main room had a large wardrobe area but the upper shelf was filthy with dust - I had to wipe a section with tissues then wet wipes before placing clothes on it. |Bed was comfortable and linen seemed clean and fresh. |Bathroom only had a shower but it was good standard & large, clean and worked well - was a bit odd the window facing the shower only had slightly obscured glass and no blind.. |Inexplicably the toilet bowl had clearly visible ā€˜residue’ in the bottom on arrival.

Hotel staff couldn’t do enough to help. We stopped for two nights using St Ives as a base, travelling on motorbikes. Great location on the river and over the bridge into town. Breakfast was superb full English buffet.|The rooms were clean and comfortable, as far as I can see they are refurbishing parts of the hotel, but this did not impact on our stay.|Overall good service.

Beautiful location ,totally wasted!Used to call here for drinks on the riverside years ago when it was always busy on hot days. Called again this saturday lunch time,as we noticed it had re opened the drinks area outside. What can I say other than it is a mucky, filthy rundown mess! Everywhere, and I mean everywhere had cobwebs that must have been there for years from the string lights, across the outside windows, backs of the rattan chairs, under tables,The rattan style table had a glass top which was absolutely filthy, obviously had not bee wiped down since god knows when. Weeds/boarded up buildings.wires hanging out of the walls,I could go on forever!Only one other family sat there. The young lady behind the bar was lovely, but surely she could have wiped the tables down. No umbrellas for shade. The inside was very up to date and toilets were clean.

Great sleep. Easy to find. Very close to the river and the view. Friendly staff. I would recommend having a fridge in the room for at least the summer. Would I stay here again? Maybe.
