We stayed at the Dorset for five days and were very pleased with the hotel, very homely and friendly. We had the Victoria suite which was lovely and roomy, also a big bathroom. It was extremely hot that last week of July but the room stayed cool due to high ceilings. Didnt hear any noise from other guests and yes the occasional road noise. Breakfast was a delight served to the table by the very efficient Dave. Thanks for a great stay, we hope to be back next year.|Ian and Hazel Tweed

Very conveniently positioned, a short walk away from the beach and the esplanade, but better value than the hotels on the seafront. Checking in was a quick and simple process, and the room was pleasant and clean, however, the decoration does require some TLC, including a paper sign that was torn and half off the wall where it was originally attached. A minor issue, but replacing it would take minutes, and it would immediately give a better first impression. The sink was in the room (not in the bathroom) but it was making the best use of the space available, Breakfast was fresh and served quickly, with unlimited self-service cereal, juice, and tea/coffee available. I would not hesitate in staying here again.

Our second stay at The Dorset, this time in the Victoria Suite which was lovely, comfortable and spacious. The hotel has a relaxed, homely feel. The staff are always cheerful and look after us well. Breakfasts are superb and there is plenty of safe parking.

What a Gem of a place. I booked two rooms, and initially we were on separate floors, but on arrival told they had managed to get two on same floor, fabulous. Friendly staff, I really wish we had been able to stay longer (spontaneous night away with my grown up kids) Breakfast was perfectly cooked and great quality. Highly recommend and will be back

Great stay from check in to checkout. Hubby booked for my birthday and our anniversary, they put banners and balloons in our room x lovely staff and room was lovely, slept well. For breakfast we were welcomed by a great staff member (sorry didnt get your name) great guy and so welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay here again?

We have just spent four days at this hotel, it was really lovely, clean and tidy rooms, Michael and Dave are great hosts and all the staff are great too. The breakfast was really nice and enough to set us up for the day. Great value for money and an all round lovely time, first on our list next time we visit.

We enjoyed a very lovely stay here. The location was perfect and enabled us to see a lot of the island in a short time. The breakfast was delicious! Just what you would expect. The room was bright and airy with great views of the sea. I would definitely recommend this place.
