Excellent hotel situated literally within the football ground. Our room actually had a view of the pitch.||The stay didn’t get off to the best of starts when we were told that the booking for two separate beds was being amended to one bed. The reception staff quickly addressed this and reduced the price as our new room was actually cheaper so this was a satisfactory outcome. Customers are also given a tasty cookie when checking in which is a nice touch.||The room was large, clean and modern. The beds were comfortable and the shower was warm and powerful.||The buffet breakfast was of a good standard and I was able to request a late check out which was much appreciated.||Overall, very impressed with everything on a night when the hotel was fully booked due to the Women’s International football we were attending. Great value for money and would definitely stay here again. So good to be able to go to football and be back in the hotel immediately after the game with no travel worries to deal with.

Never again! We booked the Hilton because we've stayed in Hilton hotels before and know to expect a good night's sleep in a good room, good sized bed and everything working. Nope - not here; the hotel is a nightmare to get to, due to the location at the football stadium. We took forever to get into the car park, fighting through numerous taxis and a huge party going on (maybe let your guests know something is on, so they can make an informed decision). Eventually get to our room on the top floor to find the "Queen" bed is a standard double, despite the details on the website. The shower is falling apart and the room is dirty. Pop the telly on, for a bit of a distraction and that doesn't work. Then, the music starts and we can here it up on the top floor. So, tonight is not going to be our best night in a hotel and will certainly not do us any good. I'm a stroke survivor and I need a decent sleep, which is not going to happen in this truly awful hotel. We are so disappointed, we're beyond angry.

I’m sad to say a really awful experience, the room was really small, freezing cold, dirty, stains all over the carpet, tv didn’t work, no plug in sink, shower plug was so slow at draining I was stood in water upto my calf whilst using it. It was so cold I slept in my dressing gown plus my coat with towels to use as blankets. I reported it to reception she just said thank you I’ll send someone up to fix them on the day I was checking out.
I guess the only plus is the breakfast was good with a great choice and friendly staff.
The sports bar food was also very good.

We stayed for 1 night for our Christmas party, on the booking for it asked for additional information my husband had put my birthday. When we arrived I thought I was in the wrong room as it was decorated with ballon, banners, confetti petals, towel art and little battery candles. My husband then said it was ours and that he mentioned it being my birthday. I was amazed never gave we seen a room decorated like that it was amazing. We even had some snacks left for us with a card. The room was huge and spotless every member of staff we saw and spoke to was lovely this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in (and we have stayed in lots)
The breakfast was fantastic they had a huge variety and all tasted lovely.

We stayed 2 nights as a little get away break. When we were checked in we were told that there was a lift engineer was on site fixing the lift (2 days later the lift still not working) so would we be okay walking our cases up to the mezzanine floor (didn’t explain where that was), not told where the breakfast was bring served. As a gold account member (nearly diamond!) we were told that we wouldn’t get an upgraded room (I have no problem with that) and given our room cards. Dragging three cases up the stairs we got to the room (187 AVOID!!!!) this must be the smallest darkest most depressing room in the hotel, if it’s not then there must be an onsite jail. Room was dirty, a bedside table was missing (the carpet indentations proved that). The beds were comfortable as you’d expect from the brand and the breakfast was really good. The TV channels had so much interference we ended up watching our tablets. On the second day we went over to the shopping centre and were out of the hotel for 5 hours, when we returned the room hadn’t been cleaned, finally there was a knock on the door and housekeeping asked if there was anything we needed, we asked for the tea to be replaced and fresh cups and glasses. The girl returned with the cups and glasses still wet as if she’d just rinsed them out herself. Of all the Hilton’s we’ve stayed in this is by far the worst experience we’ve had, I normally get to review the hotel through an Email from Hilton but surprisingly this hasn’t come through for this stay yet (3 weeks later) do yourselves a go out and go to the doubletree a couple of miles away, it has a pool, it’s clean and it’s cheaper to park there!

We have stayed at this hotel before in a pitch view room without any problems. This time was a different story. W had a queen room, first room we were given was a nice size but the air conditioning did not work and the bathroom was awful. Tiny bath with an old fashioned shower curtain and the toilet leaked on the floor. We spoke to reception and they offered to move us. The new room was much smaller but the bathroom was up to scratch and had been updated, however all the dispensers were empty and the towels had holes in them. When we checked the room the air conditioning was working. However when we returned this was not working. We reported our issues to reception and they offered to get maintenance to look at it. They could not fix it and we were offered a fan as they had no other rooms available. The fan was actually a heater so was no good. During the night we were woken up at 3.30am by what we later were told was a moisture alarm. We called down the reception and a lady came up to help us. The options were move rooms (again at 3am) or put the fans in front of the alarm and wait 20 mins. We did this. On the Sunday we complained again to reception and they said we would receive a full refund by the following Friday. We are over a week on and still no refund even though we have called Hilton directly to chase this. Really NOT happy about this stay and would not stay here again due to the issues and the time frame it has taken to resolve.

Room we had was enormous with massive tv. Staff at reception were friendly. Slept really well and used the anecdote bar which was good food. Breakfast selection was extensive and staff again friendly. Checkout was simple. Car park was a bit confusing as there is an A and B car park.

Stayed 1 night 13th Dec 2024 When we went to bed at midnight I pulled the covers back to a yellow stain on the bed sheet we were tired so put a towel over it, the walls in the bedroom were dirty and in the bathroom, I had a shower in the morning and the shower gel bottle was empty and the water was just warm, we mentioned our disappointment at reception on booking out and they said we had to contact booking.com who we booked with. very disappointed as it was our work Christmas Party.
