Despite booking a standard room on a cheap rate i was delighted to get an upgrade to a large Suite due to my Hilton status.|It was spacious with 2 bathrooms and large sitting area with a dining table and chairs.|The decor was nice but the furniture was a bit dated but still comfortable. |There was q lovely welcome gift of a full bottle of Red wine and tuck shop basket of 2 bags of crisps and Tunnocks sweet treats!|Used the adjacent leisure club for a swim then headed for a bite to eat.|Although the Nick Nairn restaurant was available decided to eat in the bar.|The food was excellent. |Breakfast buffet next morning also to a high standard.

Dinner, bed and breakfast over night stay in a double room.|Staff were excellent during stay, couldn't of asked for anymore. |The dinner and then breakfast were best we've had in a while.|Only downside is the place needs a revamp, everything is tired and run down.. seats in bars and lobby area all well worn. Room was very dated. |Shame because bar that very enjoyable stay.

Booked a room for two nights and we were delighted with our upgrade to a junior suite. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were all very friendly. All the meals we had in the hotel were excellent. The hotel was very dog friendly and we were advised where we could take the dog to eat with us in the hotel, she even got a nice wee goodie bag. Will definitely be back for another stay.

Lovely facade and grounds, interior and exterior architecture .. the rooms can do with a renovation .. quite tired and worn looking. The chairs in some of the lounge areas need to be reupholstered.. it’s definitely below the usual Hilton standards that we get in Asia .. was very surprised but guessing the cost of this would be huge to renovate at once. It’s a maze inside the hotel. Seems to be pet friendly with guests walking their dogs all around the inside of the hotel .

Breakfast has a good variation and lovely breakfast room interiors and service

Enjoy a walk around the hotel grounds especially when it’s sunny. It’s about a 10- 20 minute walk to nearby restaurants if you do not want to drive

This is an imposing building sitting on a hillside, but the derelict cottage at entrance to the drive was a warning of what's to come. The entrance leads to a flight of stairs with reception on the 1st floor. Most people miss the small lift down a narrow passage and struggle up the stairs with cases. The lift needs a key card above level 1. The corridors and public spaces are dark and gloomy and has a depressing and dated feel with dark grey, purple and brown as the colour choices. The staff were indifferent and not really friendly or welcoming, maybe adversely affected by the atmosphere in the building. The room was a bit dated and frosted glass on the windows didn't help, however the beds were comfortable. The restaurant has the same gloomy dark decoration and the food was mediocre. The lounge was altogether different, brighter and more comfortable. We were pleased to leave the place and can't imagine coming back.

My wife and I are very excited to be attending our daughters graduation from Stirling University this weekend, and after a very extensive online search, we chose the Hilton Dunblane Hydro for our accommodations during our stay. Coming from the United States, we were looking for a beautiful location with breathtaking views that would make our week that much more memorable. I haven't told my wife yet, but I have requested an upgrade to a Superior room as a surprise to her for which I am praying this becomes reality. I have read numerous amounts of reviews from past guests, and without a doubt I know I have chosen the best location around. From the hospitality, to the service and beautiful scenery we couldn't be more excited to begin this adventure!
Looking forward to our dream trip!

I stayed here for 4 nights as part of a group tour. The hotel is conveniently located close to the A9 and is close to local restaurants. It is situated atop a massive hill (so a steep slope to climb up if you contemplate walking up).

There is ample car parking and a nice seating area in front of the hotel where you have a nice view of the lawns and the road in the distance. There is a small gym/swimming pool/sauna but it opens only at 7am (not early enough to allow me to use it in the morning).

Our booking included breakfast and provides a massive spread of cereal/toast/meat dishes/cheeses/fruit/hash browns, coffee/tea/juices, croissants and many more. I stuck to eating fruit and croissants all 4 days (some healthy and some not) and was very happily not needing food till late afternoon.

My room was on the second floor overlooking the car park and it’s a large room with tea/coffee making facilities/iron/board/table & chair, a small sofa and a TV. My room had a bath as well and the bathroom was clean and well provided (bath gel/conditioner/soap, etc). Bed and pillows were very comfortable and I had no noise disturbance.

There is a nice bar and you can buy a drink there and take it out to the front (which we did). In general staff is very friendly and helpful which we appreciated.

The restaurant was expensive but served okay food (none of us were wowed by the dishes served). Vegetarian choice was limited and definitely didn’t like the risotto (bland and monotonous with no taste), the gnocchi was decent but not filling, soup as a starter was good as was the beetroot and cheese starter.

Overall a very pleasant stay and leaves a positive impression.

Lovely hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Rooms where clean and hotel old grandeur. There is a swimming pool and sauna and steam room and jacuzzi but it is not part of the the hotel but a private club so not luxurious like the hotel and no lovely soft white dressing gowns but it's adequate and clean to enjoy a swim

Go up
