We stayed at Dove Cottage last year. The hosts were amazing--Brian came to pick us up at the station in Selby so we didn't have to wait for the bus, and he cooks an excellent breakfast! It was a quick walk to the Drax social club, where we were attending a music festival.

Lovely stay looked after very well by Deb. We stayed in a large room with nice en-suite bathroom. Plenty of space with everything you could want. Very peaceful location but could do with a sign at the end of the lane as it took us a couple of goes to find it!
Ideal if you are attending an event at Drax Social Club as it's only a ten minute walk.

We have stayed here a few times with our dogs and can't fault it. We've always had the very best treatment from the proprietors, Brian and Deborah.||This is a very laid-back B&B, with all the home comforts you could wish for. The proprietors are extremely friendly and accommodating, and nothing is too much trouble.||The room we stayed in was lovely - spacious and classy and the bed linen smelt wonderful! The breakfast was very generous, we had a salmon omelette, which was a real treat and a refreshing change from the 'full english'. ||We would highly recommend this B&B and would stay here again, when visiting the area.

Lovely spacious rooms, en suit bathroom. Everything is spotless and bed linen smelt beautiful. Both Brian and Debbie are very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. A true home from home B&B. would highly recommend!! Lovely breakfast, just a lovely place with lovely people. Thank you very much

after reading the 3 excellent reviews we were looking forward to our weekend stay. we had booked for the country music weekend at Drax club and needed somewhere nearby to stay.||Brian and Debbie are, indeed, most welcoming, we turned up early which was not a problem for them and our room was ready. I was expecting the same type of room as the earlier reviewers, en-suite, spacious and classy.||what we got was to share a house with 2 other couples- we also shared the bathroom!||there were facilities downstairs in the kitchen which we were free to use, but we decided against it.||everything was outdated and had an air of neglect about it, the carpet was marked, as were the walls and windows. I had to make the decision whether to stay here or start to find somewhere else nearby, I decided to stay simply for the convenience. we didn't bother to unpack, simply slept there, showered and left for the day.||I must add, however, the bed linen was fresh and clean and the bed was comfortable. the reason I have given an average sleep quality rating is because I woke early on the Sunday so as to get into the bathroom before the other residents!||we stayed in June 2014,

A lovely homely cottage, very warm and welcoming, our room was fantastic, very clean would not fault it.||||We stayed the 1 evening, we went to a Soul night at The a Power Station and Brian dropped us off there and even collected us 12-30 AM ! Free of charge.||He’s a great character, lots of entertaining and interesting conversation whilst eating his lovely breakfast the following morning.||We will definitely be staying there again. You will not be disappointed it’s like home from home, what a lovely couple.

Brian and Debbie were very welcoming and in a laid back way nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean with a big bath and a shower en suite. Breakfast was served in the kitchen where it was cooked as we ate cereal. They even bought soya milk for us when we told them we used it and also allowed us to use their fridge. Felt like one of the family.

Brain and Debbie are a lovely couple who make you feel welcome from the second you arrive. The cottage is off the main road, it's a quite spot, 10 minutes walk from the power station and Drax Sports and Social Club. The accommodation is spotless and the breakfast is superb - there is a choice of cereals and cooked breakfast (cooked to how you like it) with tea, coffee and fresh juice. Well recommended!!
