We had a really nice break here, staff were great and very welcoming. We were surprised to be given an Annexe room, but quickly thought this was a bonus: car parked outside the room, really quiet and on the sunny morning we had ( in October!! ?) I sat outside for a couple of hours having a cup of tea on the terrace. Perfect!|I was quickly recommending to my parents - 5 minute walk to train station as well. Food was good, would be good for them. A couple of dishes were disappointing, like the chicken skewers being served cold, but the game burger was fabulous and curry so good my husband had it twice. |However, on our last night, from 2pm our sleep was interrupted for over 2 long hours by other guests, playing music outside, singing and shouting. It was horrendous (although the tunes were good) - one female clearly thought she had a good voice and she was belting it out! We walked along the terrace next morning to see the remnants of what was clearly a good night, but at our expense. |We did mention it to the hotel, and received an apology. |Disappointing- anyway, for that reason we will not return, nor will my parents be coming which is a shame because it is somewhere that I thought might have worked for them.

We had a lovely midweek stay at The Knaresborough Inn. The friendly service from all the staff was excellent. In particular, the young lady who checked us in and out was superb. Her warm, friendly and enthusiastic manner was an example to others.

Perfect little stay, lovely room, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. We stayed in the annex with breakfast included and free parking - it's great value for money and in an excellent location.

The pub had so much character and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The menu was varied and the food was excellent. We will be back.

All the staff were friendly and helpful as always.||Poor sleep on first night as room 111 was above bar/ breakfast area with a wooden floor.||We could hear people walking around from 6.30 AM

Only went for food and drink. Lovely beer garden. Disappointed they had no syrups to make cocktails- alcoholic or non alcoholic. Mixed review with food. The scampi and chips were great but the mushy peas were cold. The fish curry was expensive and an extremely small portion- 3 prawns and 3 bits of fish. Unlikely to go again.
