Had a half spa day (3hrs) which included, Pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi!! Also a 25min massage which was lovely for £62!! Very quiet visit and thoroughly enjoyed it! Staff very helpful and friendly ? only downside for me was the shower in ladies changing was feeble ? and the carpark to rear is small and tight! There is other parking nearby though. I took my own robe n slippers. Would recommend and would visit again for future treats...

We booked the deluxe spa morning at a cost of £150 for us as a couple for a birthday treat. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The spa is so run down and absolutely filthy that we ended up sitting in chairs waiting for our treatments because the facilities were so unhygienic. The massage was nice, but nothing special and the lady talked all the way through it despite minimal responses. Perhaps I should have asked for a silent massage, but I felt too awkward. There are a total of 4 sun loungers around the pool which are wooden and do not have lounger cushions on so too uncomfortable to lounge on. The whirl pool was full of grimey foam which suggested the filters hadn’t been cleaned or chemicals managed correctly. The pool had dirt and debris at the bottom of it. Majority of the wood work around was swollen/some had mould spots/tired/dirty. The steam room was filthy and we did not go any further than the door way due to this. Absolutely will not be returning, far better spa packages elsewhere with sanitary facilities. Definitely not the deluxe spa morning they advertise and their advertising photos are of chosen angles. They don’t provide towels, robes or slippers which they do inform you about, but for £75pp for a morning you would expect these. Overall not the luxury experience we were expecting. The best part of the deluxe spa morning was when we got to leave.

Booked the August supersaver and it was far best spa experience I've ever been too. Me and my partner enjoyed our day and ended it in the Bell hotel which is attached. We was greates by annabelle and she was very welcoming and went above and behind. They catered for gf and dairy free which my partner was really happy about. The ladies who did the massage was very friendly and made us both feels relaxed. The food was lovely, swimming pool was really nice and not over crowded. We had our own little private room with tea and coffee. We definitely recommend and will definitely be coming again!

Fabulous Sunday morning with my sister, Geoff couldn’t do enough to make sure we enjoyed our spa! It was clean, traditional, small and friendly and finished with a lovely Sunday dinner and the best apple pie and custard ever ? the staff were all so polite, friendly and it is highly recommended. Thank you

We had a half spa day booked as presents but was disappointed. We arrived, staff were polite, showed us there things where. However, the pool is small and cold, we was in the hot tub and 3 older people joined and was gossiping about local people and recent incidents making us feel very uncomfortable so we got out. From being there previous we knew there was a whirlpool and went in. When we was about to get out, a member of staff came in and told us it was for VIPs only and we shouldn't be in there. The changing rooms are filthy, doesn't look like it's been cleaned in years, drain caps in the showers were broken and hair wrapped around. Dirt and dust under the radiators, the floors were dirty. My massage last 25 minutes but it was good, my friend had a facial and the lady yawned all the way through it. We hoped after the first time here a few years ago things would have changed, but it's only got worse and it's very outdated. We will not be returning

Friendly and welcoming team. Had a lovely spa afternoon with my husband. Neck back and shoulder massage was really lovely. Parts of the facility were a bit tired and in need of an update, but other than that a fantastic day out

Really lovely place; the hotel is really quirky, there's loads to look at, it's an OLD building but it's charming.

The rooms are pretty decent too, very spooky though... Think 'Haunting of Hill House ?

The Spa itself was MEGA had the super spa to ourselves for 45 minutes then moved on to the main spa but it was only us in there! So still very private.

The staff were great and it was definitely worth the price.

AFTERNOON TEA WAS BELTING. Who doesn't love a sandwich, a cuppa and some cake?

Unclean is my single description.
The changing rooms particularly are in need of a real clean, not a deep clean, just a decent one. We visited here two or three times a week for a month and the changing rooms just never got better. The floors were gross and the overall standard of cleanliness is not acceptable.
The staff are lovely though and the range of facilities is great. Please just clean it properly!
