Three of us had very tasty meals and drinks.
Lovely decor which hosts lots of events during the month. Nice atmosphere and all the staff were very friendly.

Good evening. I'm writing to share my deep disappointment with our dining experience at your restaurant tonight. We were so looking forward to trying the Duchess, especially as it came highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the steak pie was very poor. The meat was tasteless and the flavor was completely absent. The chips were just thick-cut, annd tasted cheap, instead of the andvertised gourmet chips and the 'seasonal vegetables' – the carrots – were served cold.

The service felt rushed; our meals arrived 5 minutes after placing our order and before our drinks. While the staff were friendly, our table was not ideal, we got shoved in a dark corner, when the place was half full.

My guest, who was visiting from out of town, was also very disappointed and couldn't eat much of her meal. The staff member did remove the charge for her meal. £16 each, please see photos attached.

To make matters worse, the bathroom was dirty and one stall had a broken lock. We also witnessed teenagers running through the restaurant to use the toilets in a group and then running back out.

We really regret not trusting our gut and leaving. We had also considered trying Jocks or The Steading, and now wish we had made that choice.

Weatherspoons food and atmosphere with high end prices.

The food is out of this world good!

We usually go for the lunch menu and our go to meal is the Macaroni cheese sourdough garlic bread and chunky chips and my god is it good!

Also tried the chicken goujons and Mozzarella sticks and try are ALWAYS cooked to perfection! I mean they are SO damn delicious! The side salad is always fresh crisp and tasty too.

The service is good, the food sublime, all that's left is for you to get down to The Duchess and eat! Go! Go! Go!

We went here with over 50s club and we cannot fault the service and food. It's a truly fascinating venue like a purple and green palace. The manager was so helpful and attentive. Wish we lived nearer but a wee trip on the train or bus could just see me return as a solo traveller and diner.

Good value all round. Tasty, well presented food. Steak in the steak pie was really tender. Dessert of the day, Orio Sundae, was super. Friendly staff.

Popped in for lunch. Place was lovely, loved the decor and the music was just the right mood. Food was fine service was good. Looking at about £15 per person on the cheaper side of the menu. Bet its a great place on an evening for a drink and had a small stage for live music.

Fantastic place for antipasti... very quick service the second we walked in. Staff were friendly and really patient.
The coconut prawns deep fried melted in the mouth. And you can't go wrong with mozzarella sticks.
Cocktail was the highlight for me.... Made to perfection.
