Nice pub, good selection of beers. Really friendly staff, nothing is an issue attitude. Felt very welcomed. Rooms clean well equipped, kettle with tea & coffee making facilities. I stayed on one of the hottest days. So, only complaint as being on the 3rd floor is a celling fan or a desk fan in the room, but it wouldn't be a problem the other 360 days of the year. Definitely would visit again;)

Roadside pub on the side of the A6 opposite a leading French car dealership. Good atmosphere and well kept ales, with beer garden advertised out back but only a lamppost for locking my bike to while I had a quick half to make some phone calls on the commute home. Nice place though.

I know it's only a room, in a pub, but they could make this sooo much better for little cost.
No excuse for threadbare carpets is there? Also, the squishy mattress was very uncomfortable.
Put a shelf up in the bathroom or a cupboard for guests toiletries, put a mirror on the bedroom wall, put a 20-30cm shower head in the bathroom and add a layer of glazing to keep out the incessant traffic noise from the busy A6. Staff were lovely, and the pub is very conveniently situated.

Typical A6 pub with accomodation, rooms recently refurbished. Watch the steep staircases. Nice rear garden can be a good sun trap, ales well kept.

nice enough pub, went for the highly reviewed food but they're not serving any food at all for 'several weeks ' (May 24), disappointing there was no indication of this anywhere.

I cannot say enough good words about Martin and his Amazing Team at the Duke of York. We held my father’s wake here and the staff could not have been more accommodating or kind. Martin was the perfect t host and thought of everything. The food was incredible and all our guests had nothing but great things to say about the spread! We had some odd requests related to my dad that they were able to fulfill and even allowed us to play a photo montage throughout the wake on the pub TV. This place will always now hold a piece of my heart and I would like to recognize Martin and the team for such a wonderful job. Their kindness, thoughtful attention to detail will never be forgotten. And it’s also a great place to just go and have a drink! Thank you Duke of York!

Absolutely loved this little hotel, we booked last minute and was welcomed really warmly. Staff are ace and the customers was also welcoming. Defiantly stay here again rooms are spacious and comfortable with tea and coffee provided which was nice for the price. The beer garden is surprising big and nicely done. Thank you ?
