Volunteer hall Duns has many ways and functions to help out those in need of a very large area to carry out any need they have for such a large space.

On this occasion it was used to let people cast their votes in the last Scottish elections.

Because of covid restrictions the hall was set out in a way that made sure that voters were kept apart, if you had to use one of the pencils that were there, you used it and then deposited it in a tray for used pencils, that way making sure no cross contamination could occur.

Then you followed the arrows that led you to the back of the hall, then out through the back door, again making sure voters were kept apart and no chance of meeting any other voter that was there at same time as you.

Big thank to all those who went out of their way, ensuring that all members of the public had a safe and friendly visit to the hall, if it wasn't for their hard help, the people of Duns and surrounding areas wouldn't have been able to cast their votes safely.
