My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous mini break at this beautiful, warm and welcoming farm. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking and Janet has added some delightful finishing touches in the rooms. The breakfast is delicious and was expertly cooked by Lelia. Steve and Chap were especially helpful when we had a problem with our car. The hospitality is second to none. We can’t wait to return!

Nice little hotel. Breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of menu ordered items which are freshly cooked. If you are a vegetarian make sure you tell them when you book as they will get some veggie sausages in for you Nice host and nice surroundings on a working farm. It can be a bit of a walk to the center of castleton but if you don't mind that you won't go far wrong here. ||

We stopped here for one night - I believe it's normally a minimum of two but they happened to have last minute availability. The farm is perfectly located if you want to walk up Mam Tor and even return via Castleton for refreshment. It's a short 20 minute walk into town for an evening meal etc.||We received a warm welcome and we could not fault our room. The cooked breakfast was superb. It's a working farm but it was not noisy at all.||Parking was easy and they even allowed us to leave our car there for a few hours on our day of departure but this might depend on how busy they are.||There are some nice tables and benches to sit out and enjoy the weather if you are so lucky, and you are welcome to bring your own drinks and use their fridge.||On the day of our arrival before checking in, we went down Treak Cliff Cavern which was really good, we would recommend. It's only three quarters of a mile away, family run, superb.

We had a brilliant stay at Duncan Farm B&B. Greeted by Gary who was brilliant, showing us round and being very accommodating. The room was very well kept, large and clean. Brilliant views from the windows in such a nice location set back away from the main road. Great breakfast in the morning, quality service and products. Couldn’t recommend anymore! Will definitely be back here for sure. Thanks

We booked a couple of nights here because all the places in the village were booked up, but this turned out to be the best decision we could have made. The farmhouse is just outside the village and it took us 20 minutes to walk into Castleton at a decent pace along the road; there is a track across the fields, which we used once when coming back from a walk, but it was a bit muddy and only took a few minutes less, so we took the road to go out to eat at night. You will need a torch or your phone once you get out of the village. You can walk up onto the ridge from there and we didn't use the car for the 2 days we were there. There are plenty of walks around without the need for driving. If you're not a walker, there are the caves and other villages around to visit and you haven't got to fight for a parking space when you get back.||Ours was the smallest room, but had everything you could want in there and it is well thought out. I have been in hotels where the mirror is miles away from a socket and you can't get close enough to the mirror to put on make-up! There was plenty of hot water in the ensuite and everything was spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable and for a light sleeper like me, the peace and quiet meant I had a rare good night's sleep. The room looked out onto the yard where our cars were parked, but we didn't spend enough time in there to bother about the view!||The breakfast was amazing - ample and well-cooked. There was a choice of cereals and muesli, yoghurt and a great fruit salad better than some I have had in big hotels.||Can recommend The George in the village for evening meals - food really good and reasonably priced compared to others. ||The owners were very friendly and helpful and really we wouldn't consider going anywhere else if we went that way again.
