Lovely park, free parking, good signage to find it, good toilets too. Some of the paths are pushchair friendly too so you can go from the car park, round the play area and round the flower beds easily. Some lovely bits to see the river safely too and lots of picnic benches. The play area was a bit busy when we went because the one for the older kids was closed (& it was the bank holiday), but a really nice play area.

Aug 23 I am a real enthusiast for this park. It's big enough that a circular walk around the edge is a gentle half hour. There is an avenue of trees, many of them horse chestnuts. There are some triangular plant beds that have non standard plants in. There is a real meadow with minute hay stacks showing conservation in action. There is a fairly large children's play area surrounded by a fence. Although I'm not a dog person, this is clearly a great place for dog walking. I always leave visits here more relaxed than I arrived.

Super place to visit with kids! Adventurous play area, well cared for paths through the woods, still wild enough to be exciting, handy shop and loos, free parking, pooh sticks bridge, places to ride a bike. We'll keep coming back.

East Town Park Centre, Coupals Road Haverhill
CB9 7UR: Parking is free and the park is open until 8 00. There are toilets here and a place where you can get small snacks and drinks where you can eat in or out. The park has a play area for children which is fenced off. There is a picnic area too Walking with dogs on a lead or just strolling around the area is pleasurable. It is well kept, tidy and rubbish free. There are places near with a river, bridges and biodiversity areas and signage to help. I am told events are held here too.

Visited on St George's Day where a medieval renactment by 'The Companye of Merrie Folke' was taking place. Entrance to see their programme was a modest £4.00. Anyone wishing to use the park as usual and its facities were free to do so. There was music, a puppet show, dancing story telling and singing. Those taking part were able to tell their own historical story besides all their collection of artefacts. All in all a good day out. Even though it wasn't the best weather it was still lovely walking about and exploring and enjoying the views. I've been in the summers and its a terrific cheap day out for families, lots of paths and wooded areas to explore. Make it fun with the kiddies by turning over logs and looking for bugs 🐛🐌🐜🐞🕷🪱. Wonderful park with something for all ages children and grow ups as you can see grandad enjoyed himself. Also finishing off by visiting the shop for a cuppa or a ice lolly. Ample parking which is really close and paths for wheelchairs.

Today was our first visit for many years (probably since the lockdown).

We were not disappointed. The visitors centre and shop were open (half term holiday) so we were able to get Ice creams, slushies and coffee (other options of food and drink available).

The car park was starting to fill up by the time we arrived (11am), but we did get a space. There is bicycle parking by the play park.

We spent a couple of hours here wandering the park, playing pooh sticks, watching birds and bugs and playing in the fantastic play park (dog exclusion zone).

We took the dog and met lots of friendly, chatty dog owners. Plenty of bins dotted around the park for litter and dog poo- no excuse not to pick up as poo bags are available for free at the visitors centre.

Lots of picnic tables available. There are signs saying no BBQ's or alcoholic drinks.

The notice board had lots of information about upcoming events.

We had a really enjoyable time.
