We’ve stayed here a couple of times. It’s a bit quirky and fun. Function over form, some would say. Do not stay here if you want to have a Business Meeting in Reception or want to sit in your room with a Bottle of Wine, looking out of the window (because not all rooms have windows lol). Do stay here if you want a Bed for the Night in centre of IPSWICH.

Update: Or shall I say no update, as I've been ghosted here with the (owner) replying to any other review but this one. Even official easyHotel have yet to get in touch regarding this. Absolutely disgusting.

I would like to bring to your attention a situation that occurred during our stay this weekend at your hotel (Ipswich town centre), which fell short of expectation. We had an accessible room booked due to my wife having a physical disability, which to our surprise was on the 1st floor. Whilst the facilities within the room were great, it was only accessible via stairs or a single lift. This lift became out of order on the evening of Saturday 14th September whilst we were out for dinner and no staff members seemed to be aware of this until we tried to use it to gain access to our room after a very long day. After alerting the receptionist to this issue, and the fact we had an accessible room due to disability, she stated there were no accessible rooms on the first floor so we couldn't have one up there. When we explained our room had space around the bed for wheelchair access, as well as a wet room and wide set door frames she agreed with us that we did have an accessible room booked and was equally confused why it was located up a large flight of stairs if the only lift could potentially break and leave us stranded either side of it. Unfortunately we remained in the hotel lobby (with an overtired 1 year old) for approximately 90 minutes, whilst the receptionist on duty was unable to get hold of her manager (who's name appears to be Paul), whom she attempted to contact multiple times, and had no idea how to go about getting the lift back in service. After a long wait and no sign of the lift being fixed anytime soon, we agreed to struggle up the stairs despite a large and unnecessary amount of pain this caused my wife due to her disability. Unfortunately at no point did the receptionist offer assistance with the stairs or our baggage which included our baby's buggy (so not an easy trip up the stairs for someone who is already disabled), or an alternative, or any kind of time frame we could expect to be stranded without being able to gain access to our room. Unfortunately this falls way below the expectations of a disability friendly establishment and we have never had this experience in other competitive hotels, not to mention this goes against the equality act which states that "equal levels of access and service should be provided to all customers", but as a disabled person my wife was the only customer stranded in the lobby for over an hour (and who knows how much longer for if she had waited for the lift to resume service).

The rooms are clean but very basic. However the two gentlemen who were managing the desk during the evenings whilst I was there were fantastic and we're not only friendly but helpful me find reasonable and decent places to eat, which was grateful received. It's fantastic to see such customer service at a budget hotel. 10 out of 10

We booked a reservation for 1 night for two of our staff members. Within the company we have staff working all over the uk. We are extremely disappointed when two of our staff members turned up to the hotel and were rejected. We have never experienced a problem like this ever. Our employee rang me and explained that he weren’t able to get into the room as he isn’t the person who booked it. In which the managing director booked the room just the same over the last 8 years. I rang the receptionist, who was extremely rude, unprofessional and unwilling to pass details to a manager. The room at this point was paid, in which we were told it was non refundable, the managing director was willing to face time and show his face and identity but they rejected that also. It’s just uncalled for we have been told we will not get a refund. We will not be returning. But any feedback please pass on to ur receptionist as he needs dealing with.

The staff were very helpful and friendly Room clean and presented well Cleaners were also very friendly Thank you for a restful and peaceful stay. Highly recommend especially with the price. Brilliant

During my recent stay at Easyhotel Ipswich, I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the staff. From the moment I arrived, the attitude of the employees was unfriendly and unhelpful.

At check-in, I was not greeted with a smile, but rather with a sigh, as if my arrival was a burden. The receptionist seemed irritated and provided hardly any information about the hotel's facilities. When I asked for recommendations for nearby restaurants, I received a disinterested and curt response.

Throughout my stay, there were several instances where I needed assistance, such as requesting extra towels and reporting an issue with the air conditioning. Each time, I was met with a sense of indifference. It seemed as though the staff would rather be anywhere else than doing their jobs.

The final straw was during check-out when I discovered an error on my bill. Instead of an apology and a quick resolution, I was blamed for the mistake and had to insist on a review of the charges.

While the rooms were clean and comfortable, the attitude of the staff greatly affected my overall experience at Easyhotel Ipswich. I hope management takes steps to improve their customer service so that future guests can enjoy their stay.

Simple, no frills central hotel. Clean rooms, TV, shower. Helpful friendly staff. Close to amenities, bars, restaurants, Crown Pools and pretty Christchurch Park. Easy Hotel that provides what it says on the tin. Negative would be a few dodgy characters hanging about the town centre at night. Might not suit some.
