My Dad and I (+ dog!) stayed at The Eden House Hotel for one night whilst visiting Grantham and surrounding areas. Despite the mixed the views I liked what I saw - unfussy, value for money and town centre within walking distance (c15mins). The hotel has recently been taken over by a great family who all gave us a warm welcome. It is large and bright. Yes some areas need a bit of TLC but everywhere was clean and tidy (including our bedrooms). The restaurant was not up and running so no breakfast (due to last minute staff issues) but was not a big deal. We would stay again. Wish this family the best of luck on getting up and running - they have a great attitude and were most helpful/went out of their way to help where they could.

Wouldn’t stay here again. Breakfast cancelled with no notice given. No refund given. Manager couldn’t be bothered to turn up and talk to customers. That’s rude. En-suite was terrible. Black mould in Bath/shower, dated bathroom suite. Tap in sink didn’t work. No central heating. Shocking noises in the night from water system.
I’ve left it a couple of weeks for the owners to respond. Nothing.
The staff were very sympathetic to the customers. But, they’re obviously getting used to apologising on the Managements behalf.
I’ll be visiting Grantham regularly this year. But, I won’t be staying here.

Not a great visit unfortunately. Room was not clean, smell of drains from outside, damp stain on ceiling in bathroom and railway runs close by. On the upside, breakfast was good and staff friendly, a fan was provided for a very hot night and reception and dining area were pleasant enough . Location within walking distance of pubs and restaurants if Grantham is to your taste ? To sum up, we won't be going back.

We had a great night stay in this hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking was no trouble. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The only minor issue we had was a strange squeeking sound that sounded like it was coming from the next room, like some floor boards were loose.

After seeing some of the reviews I was a little apprehensive but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were excellent, very helpful and the breakfast very tasty with plenty of choice. Yes the room was a little tired but it was very clean and for the price I felt excellent value for money. I would have no issue spending another break at this hotel. It was also within easy walking distance of the town which was also a bonus. Well dine Eden House Hotel

Messed up a group Christmas meal, booked several months in advance. Food was passable but definitely a downgrade from our meal earlier in the year (they've changed management). Staff were polite, friendly and very accommodating for our more disabled members. Maybe it was just the Christmas rush, so I will recommend but tentatively.

I would've given more if it was not for the fact that after getting back to our room at 2 am we were faced with a party going on which went on to 3 am and ended up in a fight with police being called. Bedding clean & bathroom could do with a tidy up.
Also when we approached the staff about all the smashed glass in the carpark there seemed to be no concern about cleaning it up. I felt very unsafe with what went on

Turned up late at night with my daughter for my pre booked and paid for from at the hotel to be met by darkness and 2 very rude, scruffy men refusing g to allow us in as the hotel was being “refurbished” I asked what me and my daughter was to do at this time of night with no where to stay to only be told in an aggressive manner and raising of a voice that we could not stay there “legally” offered no other help only aggression. Absolutely disgusting, the men’s behaviour towards us was appalling. This hotel needs to rethink its staff and customer service
