Just passing, looking for somewhere to have lunch. Absolutely blown away by the Banstead sfternoon tea.....a tea for hungry people. Three very large sandwiches each, filled to bursting with Coronation Chicken, Egg Mayonnaise and Prawn Mayonnaise. A brownie each, a slice of lemon drizzle cake each, a Hugh scone with lashings of cream and jam. To top it off two delicious chocolates each and plentiful tea. Brought what wasn't eaten home for my husband who thought it was great too. As if that wasn't enough they also sell an amazing array of cakes and other goodies and I left with a bulging carrier bag and the thought that my diet might have to start in March, not February. The chocolates were as good as any I've had from Belgium! I shall definitely be going there again!!

Edibles is an absolute treasure of a delicatessen, come tea room.

A range of eclectic items are sale here, which together provide a warming reminiscence from the past.

We chose cheese on toast with Earl Grey tea and a waffle with Engish tea. They were truly delicious.

If you haven't been here, do go because it's lovely.

This is the best place for a breakfast or lunch in Banstead. Food is always delicious and service is always friendly. The style is cosy and traditional and unique.

Food ok but no toilets and rude staff wouldn't let my 3 year old use the toilet they clearly use. I thought food places needed to have toilets on site!

Very nice place to stop for lunch. I went with a salt beef granary baguette which was generously portioned and very tasty. I didn't have room to try one of the cakes, but my son informs me the Victoria Sandwich was excellent! (And too good to share)

What a lovely shop. Excellent products and a super cream tea in nice surroundings. Good value for money - the best in whole area (Hackbridge - Sutton- Banstead). Service can be slow because gets busy on weekends.

A hidden gem, many go to the mainstream deli's but this place is in a league of it's own. The warm salt beef sandwich is out of this world, they could double the price and I would still pay for it, always great staff, lots of great bits to choose from, more indoor seating would be great but for freshly made food, no where local comes close.
