I've been using EJ's for many, many years. Wonderful family business with very experienced staff. Always laughing, bantering between staff and customers. Exchanging gifts, just a very close relationship. UNTIL recently! New staff member, rude patronising and not on par with EJ's standards. She over filed my nails several times, burning my finger; when I complained, she stormed off replaced by another staff who is normally funny, chatty, and a laugh always wonderful, but today she was cranky....thinking nothing of it putting down to a stressful day. 3 weeks later, returning to have infills faced with silence, ask to take a seat like I was a stranger; baffled by this, I sat in silence. Nails done. I asked if she was alright, her response was, " I was going to ban your ass" Absolutely baffled by this and asked, ", Why?" She replied, "Because of the way I treated the new staff" I was shocked. She claimed I was rude, and should she( new girl) have burnt and over filed my nails, I should've just asked her to stop and not pull my hand away. If your nail is burning you instinctively pull away
( which I had done on 5 separate occasions) before asking her to stop! I requested the CCTV to be viewed before such nonsense was assumed. I felt desperately upset and saddened that after spending years and year building a friendship that this event couldn't have been dealt differently, especially because of the relationship we had. Just absolutely appalling treatment

Judgmental looks from staff while you’re getting your nails done, any sort of request that isn’t revolving around the plainest of designs is frowned upon, and you’re made to feel rude for asking.

I’ve noticed multiple times nail techs talking in a foreign language very clearly negatively and derogatorily about the poor unsuspecting customer in the chair. Careful who is listening next time!

With some of my most recent visits nail techs simply just huff and puff when you get in the chair, treat you with a passive aggressive attitude and as if you should be eternally grateful that you get to have them working on your nails!! (As if you weren’t paying and tipping already!)

Book this place if you want to be berated infront of your face in a language you most likely do not understand, after which you also get to pay them for the subpar service!

Once upon a time this place seemed to be much friendlier but it very much seems like that is not the case anymore!

I almost never leave negative reviews but after my recent visit I was simply fed up! I don’t understand why it’s ok to look down on customers and treat paying customers like trash! The owner himself seems nice enough but unfortunately not the same can be said for his wife or quite a few of the nail techs - And yes of course I will be taking my business elsewhere!

I made appointments for my wife at the nail salon several times, but she consistently had a negative experience. The staff were unwilling to customize any of the nail styles, and they were often rude.

My wife has-been left very upset by the rude staff, she thought they were genuine people but clearly not.
They are lucky she stopped me going to the shop and abusing them verbally after she was left in tears...

From the moment I entered the salon I was met with a warm reception. I could not believe how thorough and precise the lady that dealt with me was. I had a full set of tips and acrylics and she was a total perfectionist and delivered exactly what I had asked for. Everyone in the salon was attentive and so helpful. I've been to pretty much every nail salon in bourne and this is my favourite place ? the only place where My acrylics haven't come off a week later ?they always do what I ask for, they are so friendly! Very clean, and they make an effort to make you welcome, they are on time and very poffessional. I would highly recommend
