Spa facilities were okay and staff were very friendly. Saunas were very small though, if it was even slightly busier, I think we would have been in trouble. I also had a really nice My Kinda Skin facial. The room had some mould on the bathroom fan and the toilet flush definitely did not work properly (room 5). The shower was quite poor, too - water would just fall over the bath tap rather than on you.

Elan spa has really gone downhill in recent years. We have been coming for 5 years and after today it will be the last.
Treatments used to be excellent but are now sub par. It really depends on which therapist you get as to whether you have a good experience or not. My treatment didn’t flow, the therapist clearly couldn’t be bothered and didn’t want to be there and was in a rush to finish the treatment. I did not relax at all, the treatment was shorter than advertised and for the first time ever having had lots of spa treatments before, I was glad for it to be over.
There are far better places to go and sadly an overall terrible experience this time round.

The therapy is 5 stars, I really enjoyed the experience. Charlie is a great therapist, and I fell asleep for most of the session as it was very relaxing, just what I needed after a very busy week. Loved the oils used too, very nice quality.

The Spa doesn't get 5 stars just because I think some little details could be improved. The outdoors sauna needed some maintenance and the door didn't close completely and felt it was about to fall down. There were also some minor service improvements, like water cups missing at the pool area, or that when we arrived the staff didn't know we had afternoon tea at the cafe.

I got treated to a half day spa voucher for my birthday. At first it took a while for anybody to actually answer the phone to allow me to book the date but after the third attempt I managed to speak to somebody who got it booked in. The place is a very pretty building and I the Christmas decor was lovely. I arrived and the front of house (blonde lady) was particularly unfriendly and unwelcoming which was a disappointment as it was my first impression of the place. I provided my voucher number over the phone when I booked but was asked for the voucher, which I said I didn’t have and was rudely told there was nothing she could do and needed to see it right now. I said ok and called my partner who sent me a photo. I realised my name was infront of her the whole time on a sheet but the way the lady handled it and spoke to me was just so rude and really just put me off if I’m honest. Why be front of house if you cannot be welcoming and look like you don’t want to be there?
Apart from that, the restaurant was lovely, food was great and man that served me in the restaurant was attentive and great. The spa was lovely and the outside hot tub was amazing. Jenni who did my massage was also lovely and the massage was very relaxing! Unfortunately front of house let this down and needs some training.

We booked for a Deep Tissue Massage for the two of us. Both Kayleigh and Scarlett were very professional; offering personal service and supportive of our individual needs to ensure we enjoyed the experience. The facilities were clean; well laid out and tranquil. Left feeling very relaxed.

3rd time visiting on the half day spa package. Gaia facial was dreamy. Helen was a wonder therapist. Pools were lovely as always. Very relaxing. The lunch option is much improved, the poke bowl choice is a great addition and very very tasty.

AVOID - Alys on reception, simply a terrible person - so bad that we left without the spa day we paid £300+ for. Multiple mistakes made and no accountability (staff didn't send confirmation of treatment times as required to do). Rude, unhelpful and argumentative.

Beautiful and quiet spa, wonderful treatments by lovely therapists, and delicious afternoon tea presented by kind welcoming lady. Receptionist did what was needed but we would have appreciated smiles or some warmth to her communication, especially as we were celebrating my sister's birthday.
