I stayed here for work, the room was comfy and bright and clean. The hotel had a homely feel to it and the staff were very welcoming and helpful with everything.
The morning breakfast was delicious and there is a very friendly bar to sit in.
The owner Derek is a true gem and cannot do enough for you to make your stay an awesome one.
Would highly recommend to stay.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night on 18 February after Storm Eunice had hit.||||We were let down by the accommodation we should have been staying in, with a one day delay before we could check in, but managed to locate Eliot House Hotel near to were we needed to be as we were stranded.||||We were checked in within 15 minutes of my phone call to the hotel. The staff were really friendly and sympathetic to our plight.||||Our room was clean with a kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate available.||||The bar had a good choice of drinks.||||Breakfast on Saturday morning was freshly cooked to order, with plenty of choice.||||Check out was 10am but because we were unable to check-in to our pre-booked accommodation until later, the owner let us stay in our room as it was not booked for later that day and the weather was still pretty awful. We are extremely grateful.||||Yes, as stated in some other reviews, the furnishings are a bit dated but it was clean, the staff were welcoming the food was good and the wi-fi worked. We consider we had value for money.

Booked the venue for my wife's 50th birthday, including bedrooms for guests. Derek and his granddaughter and all staff were absolutely superb. Contacted all guests in advance to make sure they knew there was a party on so they were happy. Every guest was happy with the room and breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone had a fab time. It was very reasonable to hire the venue and they allowed us to bring our own food and provided the bar for us. Acoustics are ideal for a band/disco - second time I have played there. I will definitely use them again personally and can't recommend them enough if you are looking for a good venue.

Nice friendly staff and atmosphere, rooms are clean & tidy, the facilities are good in the room, bar & dinning area's. Breakfast was excellent and although there was a good selection and options there was no fried bread we asked if we could have some the owner said yes that it was not a problem so very adaptable and accommodating.
Me and my partner have been there twice and enjoyed our time and felt welcomed we will definitely be going back.

Thank you to Derek who helped us in our time of need and was able to provide us a room for three nights in August after a mix up at the hotel we had booked. Room was great and had everything we needed. The breakfast was really nice with the added bonus that you could have whatever you liked rather than it being a strict set menu. This really set us up for the day of sightseeing around Cornwall. |The hotel is very clean and has hand sanitiser and wipes everywhere for when you need it and the staff wore visors and masks so we felt very safe. The hotel is in a great location for many beautiful areas of Cornwall which you may like to visit and has a big car park at the rear.|Thanks again for being so accommodating!

Our previous hotel was double booked and recommend us to Eliot house hotel and We are very great full for that. Owner of hotel and staff are very attentive and go extra mile to make your stay comfortable, they are running this place from generation and you can feel it in hospitality and professionalism. We booked 1 triple room for 3 of us and it's decent size and clean. It has shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, and in room it has hair dryer, desk, chair, tea,coffee and even hot chocolate 🙂 breakfast has good options and it's in nice breakfast area. It's good to start your day with smiling faces around you. Looking forward to see you again!

Spent 4 nights at this hotel and a fair review follows. Check in was painless as we had already done it online. We were allocated room 1 (1st door top of stairs) room large and appeared to be ok on first impressions.|However on entering the bathroom we were met by a black mouldy shower head and hose.|The over mirror light bulb wasn’t working either and the tiles on window shelf were broken and cracked. |Didn’t report it as no housekeeping available and to be honest it shouldn’t have been found like it in the first place - see photos attached.|This was difficult for me to shower as I wasn’t sure what I was getting sprayed with.|Not much else to report apart from other guests have to walk past this room and they were noisy. There was also a wedding party on the Wednesday evening which was very loud and we even had one of their guest enter our room?|Breakfast was ok but no fresh fruit and no choice if you were wanting to eat healthily.|Was very average!
