Called in late afternoon for a much needed break. Service was very pleasant, food and drink were a very good standard and there was plenty of seating. An interesting array of gifts and items for the home, well worth a browse. With areas for children to play and lots of space inside and out, there is plenty for the whole family to do for an hour or two. Well worth a visit.

The second visit here, the first was very impressive.
Today was a little disappointing, if I'm honest. I ordered the legend breakfast, and after a considerable wait, it arrived. I appreciate all the food is cooked to order, so when it arrived I expected it to be piping hot. Only one sausage instead of the 2 on the menu, the baked beans were not hot, and sadly the mushrooms were stone cold. The bacon was smoked, which is not my preference, and wasn't described as such on the menu.
In fairness, the quality of the black pudding and sausage was excellent. The bacon was of good quality, although I prefer uncooked and cooked a little longer.
Will I return? Yes definitely, as it's a great venue, and was quiet when I was there.
A little more attention to detail is all that's needed.

During our holiday in UK, we popped in for a brew and some food today and was really impressed. Chef James prepared some amazing scones today and we loved them, would recommend for an excellent breakfast.. Or a Legend Breakfast as they call it.

Our first family vacation to England and we have stopped by this cafe. Their homemade pizza – It was excellent and very fresh. Enjoyed it with a Pint of Peroni – Dog Friendly.

This place has all the ingredients to be fantastic. Unfortunately it has not been so on our last 2 visits - entirely down to staff. Poor communication between activities on the field and the cafe meant we ended up going backwards and forwards despite asking the relevant questions to staff who had been doing the same thing all week and being told repeatedly they didn’t know about various questions.
We have visited twice recently and unfortunately have found the staff attitude extremely offputting. I appreciate they may be understaffed but unfortunately so are many other places in hospitality and they manage not to make you feel like an utter inconvenience for daring to frequent their business or ask a question about a service they are providing. Could be so great but unfortunately staff attitudes is just a big no . The food when it came was absolutely fine but nothing to write home about

Very long queue to even place your order. Lady on the Till and making Coffees was working like a trooper. Having said that there was definitely a lack of Staff for the volume of customers.
Unoccupied tables were covered in dirt dishes and every time a member of the waiting staff came out with customers orders they didn't pick up any dirtiest on there return journeys.
Perhaps overwhelmed and a little training required.
Bacon sandwich was tasty but had a lot of white fat on it.
Overall a nice venue that just Perhaps is struggling to cope with demand.
