Just got back from a 4 night stay. My husband and I stayed in one of the shepherds huts, it was well equipped for our stay, very cosy and decorated lovely. The lake is beautiful and well stocked with fish. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Will definitely love to visit again. Thank you for having us.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Really peaceful site, well kept, clean facilities (1 loo/shower each - male/female) situated right next to a small fishing lake. No EHU as stated on site page. Has got 2 Glamping pods on site, with fire pit, outside and inside BBQ also small fridge and microwave. Would recommend and would return. Thank you

Stayed overnight with my partner in our own tent. Very good grounds for pitching nice and flat. Toilet and shower facilities very clean and kept stocked up on toilet roll. Have a sink available to wash your pots with hot running water and drinking water. Fishing spots around lake are very spacious and have a lovely little bridge to sit on. Owners are very pleasant and welcoming happy to help. Best bit is they also run a cat rescue and the site cat called Sammy is very friendly and always wants a fuss. The check out is 24 hours also so it's nice not to rush to pack up in the morning. Will be coming back to try out the huts.

Very nice scenery.|Maintenance and cleaning of accommodation of a low standard, but now the winter is here I expect the owners have a planned schedule of works.|Quite untidy around the washing up area. |Only one working trolley for transport of belongings to accommodation.|Nothing that can't be sorted in a week, but will make customers stay so much more enjoyable.|

Currently staying here for a 2 night break in one of the bbq hut. The pictures don't do it justice. It's absolutely beautiful and so picturesque. The huts are very clean and every detail has been thought of including washing up liquid and dishcloths. There's an oil filled heater in the huts and it gets cosy very quickly. The bbq is fantastic. We had a lovely dinner cooked on it last night and breakfast this morning. The hut is well stocked with plates, crockery and cooking utensils. You just need to bring your charcoal and logs. The shower facilities are very clean and modern with constant hot water. It's a dog friendly place and has a small playground for children. If I had to make a small suggestion it would be to have a gate on the porch area of the huts so you could have your door open without the dogs running out as you do need to keep them on a lead at all times. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning. X

Just finishing a lovely family break in one of the bbq huts. The site is spotless, so clean. Very quiet too. Lots of space. Close to the main road but noise not a problem. Lovely views. Brilliant communication too with Tanya leading up to our visit, they were totally COVID prepared. Thank you!

My partner and myself have just enjoyed a two day break in one of the shepherd's huts which was well equipt, clean and beautifully set out. The lake is well maintained and full of life. We lost count of the amount of fish we caught. It was my first time fishing and I'm Now hooked 😉 the facilities are immaculate. Tanya is lovely and very welcoming. BBQ hut equipped with everything you need - except bedding and towels. (Bring your own or hire bedding when booking/in advance). Great for a short 'glamping' or fishing break or just a change of scene - although the weather was really good for us so that helped). Separate toilets and shower/wash facilities modern and very clean. Has indoor and outdoor BBQ - we didn't use the indoors one as it was extremely hot when we stayed in mid June. Nice to walk and sit around the lake. Plenty to do in the area - nice villages, shops, pubs within a short drive. Belvoir Castle worth a visit. Elton Barn is situated near a main road on one side, so be aware re traffic noise. Proprietors friendly and accommodating.
