Stayed here as part of a Hadrian's Wall hike.(See end of review)

The room we had was beautiful. Large room with a lovely bed, great quality bedding and the best shower of the 4 day trip. Such a lovely quiet location.
Breakfast served on a group table with a sufficient offering. Not the biggest spread of the trip, but everything was great and can't really fault.
The setting is so well kept and a credit to the owners, who are friendly and more than help.

Would recommend.

Whilst it is slightly off-track would highly recommend. We walked the extra 5km from Chollerford, which is fairly pleasant (and the last bit is just along a quiet country road). The following morning returning to The Wall path includes a tough uphill path. Very doable but might be challenging for some.
However hosts more than happy to drive you back on-track or pick up as needed.

We enjoyed our stay at Errington House. A lovely welcome with a pot of tea on arrival. Very comfortable bed, clean spacious room and quality breakfast with homemade produce. Great location too, peaceful and rural but only 15 mins to Hexham.

We spent 6 nights walking Hadrian's Wall and this was the best place we stayed but not the most expensive.|We were collected from the wall, 3 or 4 miles away, and dropped off in the morning.It's a beautiful 18th century house, our room was very big, with the only bath we had that week.|The proprietors are a lovely couple, welcoming and friendly.|The food was good, and pre-dinner drinks in the sitting room added an element of class.|We would definitely want to go again if we were visiting the area.|The only thing that was not quite so good for us was the softer mattress - we prefer something a bit harder. To be fair, this was our experience all week and in many places we have stayed previously.

We found exactly what we wanted in Errington House , off the beaten track giving us peace and quiet with great views to boot.|Carolyn and Lex were so accommodating to us in their home , felt so welcome from the minute we walked in .|Great hosts make the stay and nothing was too much trouble , Carolyn's attention to detail was great , from a beautifully laid breakfast table to booking a taxi for us to visit Hexham races on the Saturday and providing guests with a local guide printout. |We will happily recommend Errington House to our friends and look forward to revisiting as soon as we can . |P.s the breakfast marmalade is home made and is so good we had to buy a jar . |Thank you Carolyn and Lex

Lovely couple of nights here at the end of our Hadrian’s Wall walk in this beautiful country home . Our hosts, Carolyn and Lex, made us very welcome and were extremely helpful. Food was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

This was one of the best places of our holiday! Beautiful large farm house that is exquisitely furnished. We were made to feel completely at home by the hosts, who bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. There is lots to do in the area. We went to Chesters Roman fort at Hadrian’s wall, however there is more we weren’t able to explore. There are villages nearby with some lovely pubs. Ask for tips from the hosts Carolyn and Lex. We would have loved to stay longer but it was completely booked up. Highly recommended!

We simply had a wonderful stay at this beautiful accommodation in the Northumberland countryside. The views from the room were stunning. The hosts Carolyn and Lex are lovely, warm and kind people who made us feel welcome in their home which made our stay even more special. Breakfast was delicious and plenty. Their two dogs Raffi and Pedro where adorable and lots of fun to be around. We will certainly be back in the near future.

A really exceptional place - warm, friendly, knowledgeable and interesting hosts who take genuine pride in the service they're offering whilst being relaxed and unfussy about bringing people into their beautiful home. The house itself is so lovely - and feels like a genuine Northumbrian experience. Highly recommended.
