Greeted by a lovely couple, whom showed me to the room.
Really nice and friendly.
Room is very clean and nicely decorated, with en-suite.
Location is at the top of Whitby, 2 mins away, with fantastic views , including, places to eat and drink.
Whitby town itself, is a 5 minute walk away.
This guest house, is a hidden gem.
Highly recommended.

Great family size room and great location to centre of whitby, had a mini fridge and tea and coffee facilities.

A few minors, struggled to find a parking spot, the pull out bed mattress wasn't the cleanest, the bathroom ceiling had spiders all over it, hair in the shower and cobwebs in the corners, shower was very loud just hope I didn't wake anyone up.

Didn't see any owners while we were there.

Stayed at the top room number 5, bed is so comfortable we had an amazing nights sleep, the lady was super helpful getting us a parking permit for our car, for the money this place is absolutely amazing. Will return thanks

We were looking for budget friendly, comfortable accommodation in Whitby and were lucky to get space at Esklet. Room was clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed. I struggle with stairs and was happy to have the family room on the ground floor. It was quiet, beds were comfortable and great tea/coffee making facilities. No cleaning, but coffee items and toilet paper etc replenished.
Parking available - discs given to display in controlled zone. Within easy walking distance of shops, beaches, museum etc.

Wanted to visit Whitby and we had a hotel gift voucher .This was the only guesthouse where it could be used . Host gave us keys on arrival and a parking pass then disappeared into private room leaving me stood in hall while my husband sorted the car . No friendly chitchat or offer of information such as how to find the town or where we could get breakfast as they don't provide any .We didn't see anyone again and there is a box to leave your keys in when you leave . Room ok ..tea and coffee tray and small fridge provided . We were left 1 bath towel each for 2night stay which is fine but you need to provide a hand towel as well in bathroom I don't usually dry my face with same towel I use for my body. 1 little shampoo and body wash left out for 2 people! Maybe a little pkt of biscuits would be nice while no food provided and a booklet in room with some local information as you don't want to interact with guests |Overall impression was all a bit mean and unfriendly . We loved Whitby and are coming back in September for the Soul weekend but we won't be staying here .||||

I stayed in the single room with a bathroom solely for the use of that room, which was just down the hallway.
The room had a sink, mini fridge, kettle and drink making items, wardrobe, TV, side table, lamp, chair and the bed.
The decor was lovely.
The bed was comfy.

There was a traditional sash window which worked and had a note to pull it down from the top- I'd never used one so was grateful for the little sign/note.

The front door locks behind you and you need a key to enter. This is reassuring for safety.

You can request a scratch card for street parking within that zone.

I travelled alone and felt safe there.

The owners are very friendly and checked we didn't run out of any consumerables. The room was clean and hot water in abundance.||Only downside the mattresses could have been more comfy and if you are on the heavy side you may well bottom out!||Although free parking disks are provided by the guest house, actually finding a place to park is another story and to be fair this is a problem with all the Guest Houses in Whitby who offer free street parking. The closest parking space was often about 10 mins from the Guest House - not ideal.||The guest house is well positioned, about 10 mins walk to the town centre and about 5 mins from the front.

Great value, very clean, great location for town also area around guest house very quiet, small fridge in room was a bonus, great shower and very clean bedding, no breakfast but not a problem ,very close to get food , whitby was excellent as it was regatta weekend and folk week,we would return
