I had a fantastic time at the spa. My whole family had Kerry as our therapist and I couldn't praise her enough. The factilies and staff were great. We had a relaxing weekend and we would come back again.

My therapist Elaine was fantastic, one of the best full body massages I've ever had. The spa itself is clean and modern but an odd layout.
There is nowhere in the pool/sauna/steam room area to get water, so you have to walk back through the changing rooms ect back to the reception as the door off of the poolside is locked.

Awful costumer service. The spa and gym facilities are meh, not worth the price of the membership.

There was often a broken machine in the gym and the changing facilities were not cleaned regularly. The pool and sauna were fine, nothing special. The real problem I have is the way the spa and hotel handled an invalid parking charge.

I was driving a rental for a brief period and was told by staff that I could put my number plate in at reception. A few weeks later I receive an extortionate parking charge. I assumed this would be an easy fix with a quick call to the hotel, instead I was met with a back and forth email chain, only to eventually be told there was nothing they could do, and that I should have given two weeks notice if I was going to be using a different vehicle (ridiculous and impossible if using a rental vehicle).

This hotel and spa has robbed me. I have cancelled my gym membership here and would strongly advise against joining the espirit leisure club or booking a spa day here - The fine will cost you more than the spa package! Absolutely terrible way to do business.

I had a leg and foot massage with Lucian today. I find it hard to relax but this really helped, it was amazing, thanks.

The food was lovely, was really nice to have a choice of two different menus. All of the staff have been very friendly and accommodating.

Booked a couple of treatments for me and my wife while we stayed at the hotel. Having experienced several different spas over the years this was by far the best experience we had ever had. Unlike other experiences we have had there was no pushy up selling of "enhanced" experiences, it was just as we had booked. I had a 50 minute ( which was a full 50 minutes ) full body massage with Elaine which was magic, I left feeling like melted butter.
My wife had a facial and hot stone massage which she also enjoyed. Very much recommended

As a add on service for hotel guests it's OK but if I was to rate it as a stand alone spa would not be more than two stars as facilities are bit poor.

Staff is very friendly, polite and professional. You can tell they care about you and appreciate your business so give stars there.

Facilities as mentioned limited, sauna, steam room, small massage room and small swimming pool. Hard to find spare launger in the swimming pool area. As a add on service is adequate but would not pass if I was to book it as a standalone spa break/treatment.

Cleanliness is very good which is important in this sort of environment.

Beyond disappointing "spa" experience.
Me and my friend booked the entry to spa and 2 treatments each few weeks in advance. This was part of our overnight stay and the check-in for the hotel is at 3:00pm. When we have booked this we have received a confirmation that our treatments will take place at 4:00pm, 4:30pm, 5:00pm and 5:30pm. A week before a woman has called to say the treatments have been moved 1 hour earlier. (So 3-4:30pm). On the day we drove from London and arrived at the hotel at 2:20pm, we checked in with no issues and headed to the spa before 3:00pm. There we were told that we have missed 1 hour of treatments already. When we said that we are in fact early, they said that they have changed our times and sent us an email. They have not actually contacted us to confirm we were aware of the change! Kerry (supervisor on the reception) has refused to acknowledge that us missing the treatments was not our fault at all, and didn't even attempt to salvage the situation. They refused to provide us with a treatments that we have already paid for and said that "there's nothing they can do". The spa staff and Kerry need a serious customer service training because her refusal to deal with this situation was shocking. Oh and the massages we have received were pretty meh, and took place in the tiniest cupboard sized rooms ever where they barely fit a massage bed. Nothing relaxing about the experience. We have tried talking to them again before our dinner, as anyone who has worked in customer service or hospitality knows that there is always something you can do! But no. They have refused to issue a partial refund. They have refused to give us a voucher for treatment in the future. Not even a single free drink was offered. Honestly, the customer service was APPALLING. Clearly once they take your money they don't actually care about your experience. Their treatment of us has almost ruined our "relaxing weekend" completely, the only good part was the restaurant and the staff there but they are separate to the spa. Frankly, I would tell anyone to avoid this place. The spa is just one small pool, one small sauna and a steam room, and a small gym. That's it. My local gym has better atmosphere and facilities than this place. Also, although we have prepaid £300 for our stay, the hotel has charged me £75 for a deposit when we checked in and it will take a full week to be refunded.
