Hired the venue for my daughter’s Hen Party. It was fantastic! Garden is lovely with a massive hot tub loads of seating. Karaoke room went down a storm - this was a perfect place for a celebration. Also must say the facilities were five star and the place was spotlessly clean. Nice people to deal with. Recommend this place highly for large or small groups. We all loved it!

We had the most amazing Hen party weekend at Essex Stays. The venue is just incredible with outstanding facilities. The team went above and beyond to ensure that the weekend was perfect. Lauren was always quick to respond to emails and responding to any queries I had. I was blown away with how spotless the venue was when we arrived. The bedrooms were very well presented, with slippers and a robe for each guest. The karaoke room, cocktail bar and the hot tub made this stay extra special. We also added on the private chef and the butler in the buff to make this stay even more special, these services were both outstanding. I highly recommended Essex Stays and would give them 5 plus stars. They go above and beyond. Thank you for the best weekend filled with memories to treasure.

Have just returned from my hen party at Essex Stays at The Kings Head and we had the most amazing weekend!

The house was incredible, spotless and had everything we could ever imagine needing! The kitchen was so well stocked with utensil, crockery & cutlery and having 2 dishwashers is genius!

Our bathrooms had such luxurious goodies left for us and the showers were divine! We all commented on how good the water pressure was even when all showers were being used 😂

The booking process was so easy, and the service we received from the team was second to none!

We loved our trip so much that we're trying to find a reason to book up and come back next year!

Essex Stays at the Kings Head was the perfect place to host family from around the world who attended my daughters wedding. Twenty two guests stayed at this amazing venue for three nights and had a great time. The amenities were so good that they decided to spend a free day on site and enjoy the jacuzzi and barbecue rather than go for a trip to London.
Emma and her team very very efficient, polite and accommodative. The booking experience and communication was well above par. The place itself was spotlessly clean, well furnished with accessories of a very high standard. The karaoke room was a particular favourite with the youngsters in the group. The team were very flexible with check in and check out.
I would strongly recommend this place for any kind of get together. You can expect a five star experience.

What an amazing night stay at the Kings Head.

We had a hen for 15 people and everyone was amazed as soon as they walked in.

The hot tub, amazing garden and Karaoke room were an absolute hit.

The fairly lights by the dinner table added to the atmosphere, and the place is a lot more spacious than you may think from the pictures. Also the kitchen is so well equipped (it was a dream!)

We also had a private dining experience with Chef Lee which was divine. Thanks Lee for putting up with our jokes and cooking us such a delicious meal.

Emma, James and Laura were amazing throughout answering questions as they came up. The service was exceptional, highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Perfect venue to host a Hen party ! We had a fab time. The bride was blown away.
Communication from the owners was spot on, the venue is done up to perfection from decor, down to entertainment. Venue sleeps 14 comfortably, there was 16 of use so two where on pull out beds in the vanity room.
The hot tub, cocktail making bar, and karaoke room where the perfect addition to making our girls hen weekend even more special, would recommend to anyone !!

This is quite possibly the most perfect house & set up for a hen do or similar event (birthday party etc) - so much has been thought of and catered for and everything is so well done. The house was immaculate, clean & tidy on arrival and all the amenities (coffees, teas, bathroom amenities, slippers, robes) were such a nice touch & made it extra special. The kitchen has 2 ovens and 2 microwaves so perfect to prepare food for big groups and it's quite difficult to find a place with a dining table to seat 14 - which this house has! The hot tub was one of the highlights (and easily fit all 13 of us) followed closely by the cocktail room and karaoke room which are helpfully in a slightly different part of the house and so our bride did not notice them until we blindfolded her and brought her into each - & she was totally blown away. The beds are super comfy and there are lots of showers which helps with 13 ladies, and the separate vanity room was such a great space (hairdryers and make up accessories also provided!!) The music set up is great & you can have music playing all over the house. Emma, Lauren & the team could not be more helpful, replying quickly to whatsapp messages and even dropping around some kitchen roll when we ran out. I will be recommending this house to everyone who is looking for a similar event & would love to come back. It's worth every penny. Book it now!

Beautiful place, I had my hen do here end of July! Immaculate cleaning and the place is amazing. One thing to mention is it can only sleep 14 comfortably now, there were 16 of us and 2 had blow up beds in the glam room. This meant we couldn’t use the glam room for its purpose and those 2 didn’t have a proper bed but paid the same price. A little unfair. Other than that I would definitely come back it was a lovely place.
