We visit Estbek whenever we holiday on the Yorkshire coast. It’s now like visiting old friends and the team treat us in the same way.|The building is elegant and the two dining rooms are quite small and intimate but comfortable. Once a guest is seated, the table is not rebooked so the meal is leisurely and not rushed.|The food is sublime. The menu is based on fish but there are other choices. |We were treated to a very pleasant amuse bouche of tropical smoothie.|I started with pan fried scallops which were perfectly cooked. My husband had crab spring rolls which he also loved. We both had the fish pie which is not a sloppy mess under potato! It is a stack of perfectly prepared crayfish, scallops and white fish in a lovely seafood sauce. We usually have the winter menu when this dish is served with vegetables but this time we were able to catch the season for samphire and peas. This was dressed with crystallised lemon which lifted it to heaven!|The desserts are a triumph. Homemade mini desserts and ice creams - servings about the size of an espresso cup - meant we could choose a variety between us. I chose creme brulee, toffee Eton Mess and a steamed sponge with home made strawberry jam. He chose chocolate flake ice cream in a brandy snap basket and trifle. All gorgeous as they always are.|The food and ambiance are delightful but the stars are the team. Lovely lovely people who really care about what they do and want to share their commitment with their guests. |We’ll be back yet again next year.

We had a fantastic stay at the Estbek House Hotel. The welcome we received felt warm and genuine and set the tone for the whole weekend. The room was great, and bed felt comfy. The food was absolutely fantastic, and had a very well put together wine list to compliment. The breakfast was also brilliant. We were staying for our first anniversary and would highly recommend to any couples wanting a weekend away by the coast

14/4/24-Sunday. My husband gave me a surprised dinner at this lovely restaurant. Which is one of the top-notch, high-end exquisite meals. The food and presentation of the food are superb and delicious. The service given by David was excellent & professional. The embient of the restaurant is lovely, romantic and relaxed. We will be back again. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came here with friends upon their recommendation for a celebratory meal. A warm greeting from David, who served us fizz in the downstairs bar while we studied the menu. The menu is predominantly fish & seafood, which all four of us went for.

We followed our drinks upstairs to one of the finely appointed dining rooms. Service was professional, attentive, yet friendly throughout.

All courses were superb, with more generous portion sizes than I was expecting. The mini desserts were an unexpected bonus.

Although this is a relatively expensive restaurant for the area, I thought that the markup on wine was very reasonable. A faultless experience throughout.

This is a must go to place for fish lovers ! Service and food excellent, attentive waiting staff. The hake, as recommended, was perfect, my friend had the Seafood Stack/pie which had her waxing lyrical about how amazing it was ! Sharing deserts were, frankly, fabulous (all 5 !). Any faults ? No, but my birthday info on the Open Table booking was not mentioned - it would have been nice for it to have been, to make it personal.

Went for dinner for our anniversary. Fish was lovely and the staff are fantastic. The chips and vegetables were a bit lacklustre. I thought it was overpriced compared to other restaurants offering the same quality of food. No parking either had to pay in the local pay and display and walk back to car in pitch black dark.
