Had to check in at Ethos Caffe as hotel reception had closed even though it was early evening. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Shown to rooms which were across road broom was not too warm and when we went to have a drink in the bar/caffe we mentioned this and the lady said she would get it sorted and when we got back to room it was warm ||Room had fridge, microwave and equipment if you wanted to take food back to room. Room in need of some maintenance (wardrobe doors missing) bedside lamps not working but as only there 1 night was no problem. Could do with some instructions how to work heating and also where switch for heated towel rail is.||Breakfast was very good, cereals pastries fruit and yogurts and good selection of juices. For guests there’s a section of free goodies, crisps sweets biscuits which is a lovely touch || Location is excellent for going into Oxford city centre. Please put up to date pictures on website as the ones on there are from 7 years ago If we return to Oxford we will return to Ethos hotel

Had a wonderful overnight stay when visiting nearby Blenheim Palace for Christmas. Hotel is in a great location, with city centre a 10 minute walk away with parking onsite. Lovely coffee shop on premises serving a good range of breakfast. Staff lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Such friendly and helpful staff made our stay here welcoming. Our first room was on the stairs by the kitchen and this made it noisy with sounds of dishwasher, pots pans etc being cleaned till 11pm. However when we asked the next day, we were given a new room in the separate block over the road which was much nicer. Breakfasts (included in the price) were generous and plenty of choice of foods available.
It is a shortish walk to town, 20 minutes to Ashmolean museum.
If we ever return to Oxford then we would definitely stay here again.

Hello , We stayed two nights. Very friendly reception lady on arrival who also served the meals/drinks in the evening. Breakfast lady just as good, both mornings. Spacious room with kitchenette. Parking outside hotel but only four car spaces. Overflow secured parking about 100 yards away. The receptionist showed us to parking as next road over. Very good of her. Parking charge of £29 per night seemed expensive but we received £20 per day room credit, which went toward the Food /drinks cost. Oxford City centre easy 15 mins walk away.

Perfect stay from start to finish. All staff were friendly, helpful and pleasant
Parking on site was reasonably priced, and convenient.
Such a quiet location so close to the bustling city.
The room was comfortable and equipped with everything one would need from a hotel. Great water pressure in the shower and plenty of facilities to make coffee, tea etc.
Breakfast in the Ethos cafe was very good quality and nicely set out.
I’d definitely stay again if in Oxford

Great location, 10 minute walk from the centre. Parking is available but you have to pay for it even though it implies it is included in the overall price on booking. com Our room was clean, had a fridge and a kitchenette as my partner called it. Breakfast is excellent, I had the full English one morning and smashed avacado with poached eggs the next, my partner had truffled eggs. Everything tastes good, even the mushrooms were fried as opposed to being boiled which you get everywhere. Poached eggs were lovely and runny. Breakfast is usually served in the cafe opposite but it was closed so breakfast was brought to the room. Service was good the young lad and lady we dealt with were polite, friendly, helpful and accomodating. Would recommend staying at the Ethos Hotel.

Great location and very good value. Central heating was poor in our room (did not get above 18). Parking expensive (forcing credits for using in cafe)
