We were in between moving and initially thought we would be stay for 4-6 weeks but ended up being there foe almost a year and what wonderful hosts they were. We stayed in room 2 and out of the bathroom window you could hear the wonderful singing of the birds in spring we could see wonderful baby rabbits and fox cubs playing. The room was very comfortable great mattress and nice bathroom. The family were absolutely wonderful and treated us so kindly. It was a very stressful year for us we couldn't of asked for better kindness. Great Sunday lunch great company absolutely great place to stay.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night before my Dad's wake. The hotel is in a glorious setting and the room was fully functional and very clean. We also had a lovely cooked full English breakfast. A huge thank you to Nicola and her Mum for organizing the Wake which went very well. The family were very pleased.

We booked a function room for a family wake. This was the ideal location for our family, and is well situated for exploring the Hastings/Rye area.||||Right from initial enquiry Nicola and her mother were extremely friendly and helpful. On the day itself they were friendly, attentive but also unobtrusive.||||The buffet they provided was excellent with more than enough for our guests. Good choice of finger food, excellent sandwich fillings and divine fresh scones.||||Some guests purchased drinks from the bar where the pricing structure was a little odd. ||||This is a great little hotel that needs some attention. Decor and furniture are fine but need refreshing. I didn't see a bedroom but guess they too need some attention. This would be a good base for visiting the area but eating out. And for staying away from the busier town hotels and B&B's. Plenty of parking. ||||Good for family parties, but not disco parties.

We went here for Christmas πŸŽ„ Dinner on Christmas Day. I can highly recommend this place, the staff were extremely attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and there was plenty of it too. ||We also came here for a meal on our ruby wedding anniversary in September and the service and food were lovely then, hence why we booked for Christmas.||This was our first ever Christmas dinner out and we would certainly go again. Maggie and Nicola were brilliant hosts. ||We had such a lovely time and will be returning soon I hope

Fairlight Lodge Hotel could not be in a better situation. The historic building is set in its own grounds in a wooded area outside of Hastings and Is very quiet. The owners were very friendly. It is best seen as a ' Boarding House'. It is not run as a hotel - we were let in by another guest and had to search for someone to check in with. There was no dinner available ( a Saturday evening) a fast food outlet was recommended at first. There was no breakfast buffet , cereals as requested were served individually. Unfortunately the croissants were very stale. The wi fi did not work.||With a huge refurbishment ( which the building and its contents badly need) this could be a superb boutique hotel.

I had a lovely & peaceful stay in a twin room as I need a bed for the evening. The staff were warm and friendly and helpful in providing some local information. ||||I would certainly come and stay again.||||The hotel grounds are large and perfect for a game of pettanque, or frisbee etc.||||Breakfast was large with plenty of tea, coffee and juice on offer.
