0/10 windows in rooms, 1 wouldn't open, other had note on, saying 'Broken, do not open:. Room was dirty and dangerous. Luckily, bedding was clean. Screws sticking out of carpet separator bar. Hairdryer holder broken, with piece of jagged plastic sticking out. Wardrobe wouldn't open. Had to balance kettle on small shelf near to floor where only socket was, to boil water. The bathroom was dirty, mouldy, dangerous. Had to run hot bath tap to then be able to get water from hot basin tap. Window broken, no extractor. The toilet seat was broken. Room and bathroom were not cleaned or replenished all the time we were there.
Owner was rude and swore at staff in front of us and within earshot of all guests, on several occasions. One member of staff walked out after full on slanging match with owner. We waited over 2 hours for our breakfasts on first morning, being told chef would be there soon. Chef didn't arrive, so got in someone too cook breakfasts, when the food eventually arrived, it wasn't what we asked for and was not edible - swimming in oil, the egg would have made a good frisby. Second morning regular cook was in. Third morning the owner said that he was shutting the bar for the day, didn't need to open and was going to Edinburgh, he'd be back the next day. Told us to get anything we needed whilst he was gone! We didn't bother with breakfast the last day, just left asap. We stayed there, as we were going to a wedding nearby. After the first night, we tried to find somewhere else to stay, but couldn't. I would not recommend it. The room we had, was a family room. So glad we had no children with us, as it's so hazardous.

Was in hotel about 5months ago with family and the meal was lovely. Was in again yesterday 23/3/25 and the meal was ridiculous. Steak pie was as if it had come from supermarket and had been microwaved with some mash and veg. My son in law had classic burger again microwaved and not at all good and my grandson had breaded haddock and has been sick all night. Staff serving were pleasant and when asked if I enjoyed the meal and gave a negative response I was informed it was a new chef. Obviously picked the wrong chef. We wont be back. The sad thing is I always tell my children that when I die the meal had to be in the function suite. Better start looking for somewhere else. Very disappointing cant even rate it.

Horrible. Didn’t let my family in at all. Doors were locked - all of them. Called the hotel and asked how we get in and the worker hung up immediately - never picked the phone back up. Took the money and effectively ran with it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR MONEY! Scammers running a hotel.

On arrival the Manager/staff member was rude and presumptuous of my character traits based on my attire. They essentially called me homeless because of my baseball cap and said "I was from the street" inferring I was a tramp and persona non grata. He pointed to the entrance like I was trespassing.

I was waiting on my friend who according to them never existed. When they made their selves known to them.

No apologies were offered to me personally and I never even got beyond the front entrance.

Ignorant and unapologetic . I would suggest thinking carefully before considering visiting here.

I will never ever consider staying here.

This hotel is a disaster. The pictures of the rooms have nothing to do with reality. The "English" breakfasts are a mistake. I do not recommend. On the plus side, the service does a good job.The price is very high quality for this standard.

Amazing experience here! The workers are so kind and friendly, located a 5 minute walk from the train station and an amazing made-to-order continental breakfast! Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Reservation team they are all very rude and racial called them several times and they took exchanges to call me different names after had only asked for thier check in and check out times,couldnt get the help i wanted from the whole team at this Fairway hotel on the 30th of june

Had a fabulous meal tonight. The service was excellent as was the food, especially the BBQ ribs. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
