Stayed here for 2 nights in August for a wedding at nearby Langdon Court which was within walking distance. The setting is very tranquil despite being only a short drive from Plymouth and there is more than enough local pubs and eateries in the area to complement the excellent freshly cooked to order farmhouse breakfasts available every morning. Margaret the landlady was very welcoming and helpful during the entire stay, the room was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities and free wi fi available for all guests. Overall I would highly recommend this guest house to other travellers.

Gabber Farm is conveniently close to Plymouth and its marinas. I needed somewhere to stay overnight when I was preparing a boat in Plymouth Yacht Haven, and could not conceivably have done better. The rooms have everything you could need. En suite shower room was well appointed, very clean, and with a strong electric shower. Really good tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast just as good as other reviewers say, with home made stewed fruit an anything else that you could possibly want. I shall certainly return if I need to overnight nearby again. Overall, fantastic value.

I stayed at Gabber farm recently found on night. I rang and booked very last minute after seeing a vacancy online. The farm is located about 20mins from Plymouth in a small village called Down Thomas. It is a working dairy farm run by Margaret who is wonderful. I stayed in a single room with no ensuite which was no problem as the bathroom and toilet are only shared between two rooms and I think I got it to myself anyway. The room was small and simple but what more do you really need? The house was as I expect most English farmhouses to be. A little outdated, very comfortable and creaky. Breakfast was a massive full English, cereals fruit yoghurt tea coffee juice etc. There are walking directions available for sights nearby. Check out wembury church if you can!!! for value for money, you can't go wrong. Highly recommended.

Firstly let me say this is a working farm, for those who don't want animal noises or the occasional farm smell don't book of if you do book don't moan afterwards.||Right now that's out of the way, let's start.||We wanted a location close to plymouth, that was quiet and as a bonus on a farm. This place fitted all the boxes so we did book and what a find, up a very narrow road this farm is tucked away, it a true farm, the type I remember as a child. We were quite late in arriving but all was fine and we had room 2, which looks over the front garden and part of the farm. The room was very clean and it was nice to find a true B&B. Toilet and shower also spotless.||How well we slept with the now and again mooing of the cows, and best of all silence after the cows had gone to bed and no light pollution, it was lovely and dark. With no aircraft flying over at all it was great. So a fab location. Margaret the host was a lovely lady who works very hard, well done to you. Breakfast was great and tasty. Another well done. In all a great time and we would stay with them again. Keep it up it is a true farm B&B .

The room was overcrowded with doilies & clutter & furniture. It was like basically being at my nan's house whom I love very much but she has a big QVC problem. ||It was exactly how it sounds on a farm & the brekkie was lovely but for me personally I wont be returning for work, as the links to Plymouth were not as good as I thought they'd be on the map.||||I wanted to give 2 stars but upped it to 3 as the owner was a lovely lady and i wouldn't say it was poor by a long shot. It just felt i was staying at my nan's place. However after staying in a few other places now I can see its not as good as what else is out there. But definitely a cosy little place

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting for a family party. It was just what we needed and loved that it was quiet with just farm sounds. We didn't mind the farmyard smells although some might be put off. Owner very friendly and happy to help. We will certainly stay again.

Breakfast was fabulous, a good night's sleep and a step back in time for us (disclosure here - my wife's family lived here 200+ years ago - so we had to stay & check it out).||||But - Margaret does everything she can to ensure you are comfortable - Thank you Margaret.

A bit off my track, doing the South West Coastal Path, I approached the front door with some trepidation but on entering was given a nice welcome and shown to my very clean, comfortable room. Full English the next morning was excellent. I can highly recommend for walkers.
