Had a meal here today. The food we had was very reasonably priced indeed and of nice quality. The service was also good especially considering it was quite busy. This is a family restaurant so rather noisy and with lots of very young children running around whilst we were there. Extensive parking available. Overall, we enjoyed it.

We stayed here on Fri 21st Feb for a family party. The staff were all very polite and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and the food was very good. We only stayed for one night but wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if in the area.

We stayed here 3rd Jan for one night because we were visiting a dying relative in the queen Alexandra hospital. Was a nice hotel, needs a good overhaul and updating. I think that because it's a bit tired in places that the attention to detail has gone down.|I would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately the food let it down completely. Evening meal at the pub and the food came out cold, thought it might have been a one off but at breakfast the lady on duty was rude. We walked in looking confused as only a few items out, we sat down and my husband asked her if we just order breakfast off the main menu to which she replied " no you order off the other menu on the set tables" we pointed out there was no set tables as she was just sat there at a table fiddling with cutlery. |Overall the hotel is tired looking but comfortable which is what we needed, hotel staff lovely.bar staff lovely, but the food and service there was terrible.

Hotel in need of updating but very comfortable. Rooms are nice and spacious .staff friendly and informative. The hungry horse restaurant in the hotel was clean and quick . I had the 14 Oz gammon meal . Was it good ? . Yes it was exceptionally good and tasty .

Just returned from France and this is a great stay over to avoid more driving. I

was there on a Friday night and got lucky with a Great night in the pub next door. Watching the football and then the karaoke started, people of Portsmouth know how to enjoy themselves,great fun,great night

I've stayed here many times in the past I'm in the room as I write this review it's my 1st night of 3 nights. The room is disgusting and dirty. The carpets are so stained and there are dead insects on the carpet. Tea and coffee spacers on the ceilings and walls. Cleaners need to get the hoover.out and these carpets need a shampoo. The bed I am in I dare too say is full of bed bugs as I'm non stop itching. Last time was the same situation and this will be the last time I stay here. Staff are friendly but didn't wake me as I asked in the morning.Only wish I could post photos of the state of this room. There's mold in the corner crawling up the wall. No excuses for this just idle maintenance or none at all. Probably will ask for a for a refund on these 2 other nights to be honest.

We have just returned home after our 2nd visit to this hotel.||We booked 2 nights in a feature room including breakfast.||After reading some reviews left on Tripadvisor about this hotel I was a little apprehensive but thinking back to my previous visit in June I was sure there wouldn't be anything to worry about.||Yet again we had a lovely room with a sofa, table and chairs and a lovely comfortable bed.||The room as before was spotless yes the decor was tired and both the room and bathroom could do with a little TLC but it certainly didn't spoilt our stay. Everyone in the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful.||The restaurant was yet again clean with a good selection of meals to choose from. We ate there on both nights, the second night we both chose the sizzling steak with it being our wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it.||Breakfast on both mornings were good with a assortment of cereals, croissants, various meals from the kitchen and a really tasty cooked breakfast, washed down with plenty of tea or coffee. Yes, I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and plan to return in the Spring.||

Just spent a night here, I am a disabled person, no facilities at all in the hotel for a disbled person. No walk in shower, but was supplied with a mat for the bath, no grab handes at all in bath. |Very tired and dated room, bathroom particularly. |Sorry I won't be staying again, due to no disabled facilities |On a plus staff in hotel and Hungry horse very nice and pleasant
