We visited the pub for a drink after a walk thought we'd maybe order food. We had two pork roast dinners which were absolutely delicious. Finished the meal with a lovely chocolate fondant and a lemon tart. Staff were very friendly and welcoming too 😊

Lovely cosy rooms. Helpful hosts with the booking in. Was pretty decoration. Pub very welcoming and cosy with a great roaring fire. Dog friendly. Lots of nice extras to the room like shower gel and tea/ biscuits.

Many thanks to Sammi and Joe an the rest of the fantastic team at The Farmyard Inn for providing us with a fantastic stay. We stayed for two nights in 'The Stable'- my wife, our dog Buddy and myself. The room was spacious, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. The atmosphere in the bar was as perfect as you could find in an English country pub: roaring log fires; great conversation with other customers, whether they were locals, hikers or fellow vacationers. The team at the Farmyard were so welcoming- even our temperamental cavapoo, Buddy was chilled out and relaxed as he curled up near to the fire in the bar. During our stay we ate on the Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime. Both meals were outstanding and left us fit to burst! The newly refurbished upstairs snug was a lovely relaxed overflow from the busy main bar; it proved to be an ideal place for the superb continental breakfast that has recently been introduced at the pub. Fantastic atmosphere, food, drink and service, very accommodating and friendly owners. They were fully booked and somehow - very kindly - squeezed us in for an hour’s sitting. Amazing pies, fish and chips, ales and they were able to provide smaller portions for the children. Very reasonable prices and a lot of locally produced and sourced ingredients. Well done!

We visited for Sunday lunch with the family. Very welcoming place and prompt service. Food was cooked well and presented beautifully. Menu limited to Sunday dinner only, which wasn't a problem for the adults but the children in our party could have done with a choice.

This was our second stay at the Farmyard Inn. The rooms are cosy and clean. There was a Halloween party on our second night and we weren’t disturbed by noise. Our stay was spoiled by lack of wifi in our room as we also couldn’t get any mobile signal. There is wifi in the pub which you can use during opening hours but it is very irritating not being able to use the internet in order to plan our next day’s activities. This was also the case during our stay 6 months ago and both times the staff indicated that it was about to be fixed which is clearly not the case. I think this should be made clear on their booking details.
Otherwise a great stay.

Wonderful little inn in the heart of the Peak District. The food was really outstanding! We ended up eating there every night of our trip. The beef cheeks are not to be missed!
