We stayed in 'The Den' after seeing the review by The Yorkshireman on Instagram. The perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the lodge had everything we needed for a party of 2. We appreciated the welcome downloads prior to our arrival and was able to walk to the pub nearby with the route provided.

Highly recommend the Pepper Mill for food nearby, it was exceptional quality food and very well priced. We managed to get an Uber from the lodge reception for £7.

Will stay again and recommend to family and friends. The location is perfectly quiet and peaceful.

I have booked on booking.com and chose specifically a lodge, which had sauna written in the description, as well as shown in photos. However, we got a Montana lodge, which did not have any sauna in, also the location of the lodge is not perfect as the hot tub has a very limited view and is a few metres away from the road. The entry to the hot tub from the road is not gated either. A nice touch is a tv outside, so you can enjoy some shows while in the hot tub. I am just really disappointed to be paying more for an expected sauna lodge and not getting it.. The receptionist was nice, but could not solve this issue, even though he mentioned, that there are a couple of lodges with sauna available, but since it is a bank holiday it has not been cleaned.. Such a shame..

Absolutely amazing experience! Very easy to check in, staff was beyond friendly and the scenery was to die for. They allow dogs and giving them a walk couldn’t be easier with lots of places to explore directly from the cabins. ||We stayed in the lodge named “The Den”. It had a rock sauna leading off from the bathroom and a hot tub with a projector around the side of the cabin! It was all set up with an Amazon Fire stick so it was a breeze pulling up Netflix.||Upon entering the property your greeted with a very quaint setup of a plush sofa and a lazyboy armchair centered around a TV with a great BOSE sound system. They had a collection of DVDs for you to use if you didn't want to use Netflix. Ones that come to mind are Alien Vs Predator and The Evil Dead, which are some of my favourites! ||To the left of the TV you have a wood fire place which is politely tucked away in the corner, though arguably we did not use it, it was lovely to have and certainly added to the comfy feel. ||The overall experience was just perfect, incredibly grateful we had the opportunity to stay there, and would definitely come back!

Just some little snags but didn't mention to the owner as I’m not petty like her !! I know some people would have complained but i didn’t, the shower was very slow, the heater in the bedroom didn’t work and the hot tub steps very dirty upon arrival. Upon checking in at approximately 3pm you are immediately asked for a £200 deposit. The next morning my niece had realised the two outdoor cushions were left out and it had rained. She noticed later that day the outdoor cushions had been removed with no warning and the cushions never returned the rest of her stay (3 nights ) therefore having no where to sit out .On her way back from walking her dog she noticed the cushions drying out by the owners lodge, these cushions could have easily been lifted and placed under shelter to dry at her own lodge which she had paid for. Upon checking out the owner was most rude towards my niece telling her she had to have the cushions dry cleaned and wouldn’t be getting all of her deposit back. Never once asked her if she enjoyed her stay and was everything satisfactory, just RUDE!! They were outdoor cushions that don’t stain with rain water 💦 no dry cleaning bill was provided so I believe she lied. Not a way to run a business if you ask me. You should be refunding my niece for the amenities that failed to work and having no replacement cushions to sit on !! Please be aware if you are considering booking a lodge there are plenty of other nice places available nearby !

We stayed in the lookout lodge, which was nice and private 🙂 Friendly Staff! Lovely Cabins! The reason this isn't a 5 star review is the fact you had to pre-authorise £100 deposit, which i wasn't aware of prior. A lovely welcome pack is normally included with hoseasons lodges, but not even a small carton of milk is provided here. The road to get to the lodges are not suitable for a low bottomed car due to the severe uneven road surface and lastly electric car points would be highly beneficial we had a nightmare finding local places to top up while away!

Stayed in jan for my birthday, our second visit.| We stayed in the den this time it has just had an outside tv added AMAZING was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub watching a film in the dark . If you are looking for peace and quiet, then this is the place for you

Had a fabulous week staying in the Look out ,beautiful surroundings very peaceful loved all the wildlife ,log cabin was fab everything you need and more ,will definitely be returning

We absolutely loved our stay. We didn't want it to end. Our room (the den) was beautiful. Extremely clean, gorgeous bedding very comfortable. The hot tub very private and an excellent sauna. The view is something else especially on a night. We will definitely recommend and book again.
