We stayed here last night just for an evening, was a great deal for £55.00 breakfast and parking included. As soon as you go in you are greeted by who I think is the manager and he couldn't be friendlier and attentive. We were taken to our room which was a lovely double bedroom, very spacious and the shower was amazing, so was the bed, very comfortable and clean. There was complimentary biscuits which was a great touch. In the morning we went to our breakfast, which they offer both continental and full English included in the price which I think is great. The staff are all so friendly and really make you feel welcome, nice variety and English breakfast was very good. We will definetly be staying here again and I had a great night sleep and was very happy with everything. I highly recommend

Hotel is a great location for the international ferry port. But that's not all this place has. The owner/manager was super welcoming as soon as we walked in. The room was great. Heater and fans provided in the room.
The bed was really comfy and had a great night's sleep. The shower was hot and powerful.
The cooked breakfast was great. Really nice toast.

Customer service outstanding. Facilities could have been cleaner. Overall stay. Standard. Room looked like it wasn't hoovered. Bath had old hairs in it and behind taps as if wasn't cleaned. Cups in room heavily stained with drip marks on outside. Bed was comfortable. However. 2x singles put together which felt a little awkward when in the middle. Apart from these. Me and my partner had a good night sleep. Breakfast was pretty good but not outstanding.

The place is disgusting it’s filthy dirty, looks like it’s been abandoned, seriously don’t book there, the area is a very noisy traffic at night, also noisy in so called hotel in the early hours. We tried to book elsewhere for the 2nd night but nowhere else had availability so we just had to grin & bear it. Room had empty bottles in it. The blinds in bathroom were thick with dust. No hairdryer as advertised only one lightbulb worked, carpet was filthy, used bar of soap in the bathroom. We’ve stayed in plenty of places but never one as bad as this dive. The area around it is very run down. Seriously don’t go there. 2 nights was too many. We’re a working class family so no snobs. It should be re classified as budget is too high for it. I will be complaining to booking .com.

Stayed overnight for a boxing event in town, it was freezing outside and the room was lovely cosy and warm. Don't be put off by the location it's really nice with plenty of free parking in its own car parks. Room and wet room both very nice and the breakfast cooked while you wait by very nice friendly breakfast staff. I fully recommend this place to stay and would definitely stay again. We'll done to breakfast staff Best in a long time. 😋

From the outside looks pretty derelict but it has the normal amenities of a decent lodge.
Its a place for those who want a cheaper acommodation and can accept an old feeling .
The guy who is responsible for taking care of the guests is a good person and help you with everything you might need.

The room where we were guests was pretty decent(without kitchen, but still you have small table where you can eat if you buy food from the outside) with clean bed sheets and usual soaps and towels and also some coffe and teas and the bathroom was like new but it might be improved a bit on account of the water taps.
The lodge could be a bit noisy sometimes when there are more guests but all in all was pretty quiet and you can have a decent sleep .

On arrival the hotel looked dingy and door was locked prompting us to worry if the hotel was open. That said we were greeted with a friendly welcomes and a warm beverage. The room was clean and basic. Though there was hole on bedding, shower didn't work and no hot water. Our friends were in the next room so we had to use their shower- theirs was very weak and small - hubby going last ended up with a cold shower. Breakfast was ok but had to request cutlery. Girls working here were friendly but manager was a little rude. Feel little work was done in preparing for guests and ensuring rooms etc are adequate
Wouldn't stay again unless improvements were made
