A Truly Exceptional Weekend at The Filly Inn
Our recent Friday to Sunday stay at The Filly Inn was nothing short of fantastic, and we departed feeling incredibly relaxed and well-cared for. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel truly welcome, and their dedication to hospitality shone through in every detail.
The rooms were wonderfully comfortable, offering a perfect haven after a day of exploring. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches – the luxurious products provided and the delightful fresh cookies awaiting us in our room were a lovely surprise and indicative of the Inn's attention to guest comfort.
The food was, quite simply, incredible. We ended up dining at the Inn two nights in a row, a testament to the consistently delicious and expertly prepared dishes. Complementing the superb cuisine was an equally impressive wine selection, offering something for every palate. There was even live music on Sunday afternoon providing the perfect end to our weekend.
While every member of the team contributed to our wonderful experience, we must extend a special mention to Martyn, Lauren, and Alex. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine desire to ensure we had a perfect stay were evident throughout. Martyn, in particular, went above and beyond, making us feel genuinely valued guests. His exceptional service truly made our visit extra special and memorable.
The Filly Inn offers a perfect blend of comfort, delicious food, and outstanding service. We wholeheartedly recommend it and can't wait to return.

Very lucky to find this on line for a night stopover with three mates.
Walking distance from Pub Brewery The Pig, The Vineyard & Brockenhurst itself (plenty of pubs) even the railway station is not too far (taxi ride for luggage).
The Filly rooms and beds are comfortable with tea/coffee in the room and tidy with showering liquids provided.
The Filly is well presented, very helpful staff who are extremely accommodating and the food fantastic (varied evening meal & breakfast that caters for Gluten-free & allergens).
Personal thanks to Charlotte (deputy manager) who was simply brilliant.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a night away or as a simple stopover.

I came to the filly with my family last month and had a fabulous experience. We popped in for some dinner and the menu was so diverse we ended up having 3 courses! The staff were fabulous and attentive, they made us feel very welcome. They were particularly knowledgeable about their wine selection which was amazing so we could pair our wine with our meals. We’ll be coming back for the wine and cheese pairing they have coming up this month! It was too cold to sit outside but the garden was beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised with cocktails available for a pub, defiantly sets them apart from a lot of other pubs in the forest. Our meals were delivered quickly and the service was impressive. All of our food was delicious, we would definitely recommend the burgers! Overall a fabulous night out with delicious food, highly recommend 🙂

We had such a fantastic stay at Filly Inn! We booked for 3 nights and everything was outstanding. It is perfectly located to explore the New Forest and in fact we enjoyed it so much we decided to stay an extra night!! The room was lovely and the perfect size for us with absolutely everything we needed, including homemade cookies on arrival! The breakfast included in the price was delicious and we were amazed that it included anything off the menu, the full English and eggs royale were particularly delicious. We ate dinner there 3 nights too and the food was exceptional. The portions were generous and everything was perfectly cooked. We loved the slow cooked pork, pan roasted lamb and cheesecake! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming too - I have to give a special shout out to Martyn and Charlotte who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were always suggesting great things to do and wines and dishes to try! We can't wait to come back again soon and will definitely be regulars here!!

We absolutely loved visiting the filly inn, and have done for 2 years. Rooms are presentable, the hotel is charming, food is delicious & all staff are very friendly.
However, we did notice a change when we came to eat a few weeks ago. My partner paid the bill and it was only when he came back to the table, I questioned him why it was so expensive. He hadn’t noticed the expensive service charge on the receipt.
It had somewhat put a downer on the experience, as we had never had a service charge before, and we believed we had already paid very good money for the food.

Awesome hotel/pub just on the outskirts of Brockenhurst. Amazing walks to do from the pub and plenty of cycling to be done.
The restaurant serves very good food and the pub side is very cosy and pub-like! Outside seating is ample as is the parking. Rooms are spacious and the breakfast is a breakfast of champions if you go for the English fry up! Can't wait to revisit.

My husband and I had a very nice lunch. I had a lemon chicken pesto pasta, it tasted very light and fresh, you could definitely tell it was made from quality ingredients. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. We sat in the very well kept garden.

We stayed at the Filly Inn recently and it was wonderful. Despite being a very busy sunny day Charlotte made us feel welcome and relaxed. We ate at another restaurant near by, but returned to the pub after- we both said we wished we had eaten dinner there as the food looked amazing.
The room was spotlessly clean and we had a beautiful breakfast the following day. I really recommend the Filly in for dining and staying overnight- we will be back
