Having stayed at Finlake before, we thought we knew what to expect, but Lodge Nine completely blew us away! This privately owned lodge is an absolute gem, filled with thoughtful extras that made our Christmas stay extra special.||||From the moment we walked in, we could tell this lodge was something special. The lounge boasts a massive TV, perfect for cozy movie nights, and the leather sofa was so comfortable with kick out legs, and also UBB charging ports. The owners have gone above and beyond by including TVs in the upstairs bedrooms, two PlayStations, and even a Wii console – a huge hit with the kids (and adults shhhh)! On top of that, there are Google devices throughout the property, making everything from playing festive tunes to checking the weather a breeze.||||The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We cooked our entire Christmas dinner here without missing a beat! The private hot tub was a dream – perfectly heated and positioned with woodland views. It felt so secluded, giving us a wonderful sense of privacy. Watching the wildlife while soaking in the tub was a highlight of our trip.||||The owners were fantastic from start to finish. Their communication was excellent, with check-ins via messenger to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Their TouchStay guide was incredibly handy, packed with helpful information and local recommendations that made planning our stay even easier.||||We can’t recommend Lodge Nine enough. It’s truly a cut above the rest, and we’ll definitely be booking again for our next Finlake getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay . Eleanor was responsive to any emails .|The place was decorated for Xmas when we arrived. Comfy beds, very clean all round . Hot Tub was great too. Kitchen was stocked with everything utensil you could need, plus good cooker and dishwasher .|We also had some nice coffee pods for the coffee machine and nice biscuits . |We enjoyed the pool, but would like to come again when it's warmer to enjoy more of the outside facilities.|Thanks for a lovely stay

*read till end* |My family and another stayed in a forest view 4 bed lodge with a hot tub. ||The accommodation was clean and spacious, plus a really nice spot with parking for 2.||We had a lovely long weekend and were already planning our next stay together.||Unfortunately 3 days after check out (I should say that we left the place clean with beds stripped, bins emptied etc) we noticed £250 had been taken from our bank account by Haulfryn. ||It was evening so I emailed a query and then double checked the t&cs for security deposits. It stated that Finlake would notify you within 2 days of check out should there be a charge, low and behold, in my junk email I found an email stating 'damage' was found and the full £250 fined.||The next day I spoke with reception who informed me that this 'damage' was to the hot tub and after a 'thorough inspection' they had decided it had occurred during our stay. A picture of a large crack to the shell was sent at our request. I protested as we had barely used the hot tub and literally sat in it, no toys, no glass, no parties...the lady at reception said she would reopen the investigation. ||We questioned their timeline and how the hot tub maintenance person didn't report any problems at 1100 on the Monday but after his standard 'completely empty, clean and refill' process (unlikely this is done between every stay) on his return at 1500 he reported the tub only half full and then found the crack.||After a month of to and fro messages I have now received an email stating that the manager and an engineer have had a meeting and we are not at fault. Cue another week to receive my money that they insisted on holding. ||A company that decides guilty until proven innocent will not have any more of our money. We are now curious how many others they have done this to who haven't fought it. A relatively lucrative business model indeed! ||P.s. at no point in this process have HR or customer services called me, not even to apologise. No compensation, refund or voucher was offered.

I and 5 other friends are in the middle of a fabulous weekend staying in one of the luxury lodges. We had to call for help to get the job working and the team turned up with a few minutes and sorted us out. The lodge is supplied with everything you could possibly need. It is fabulous !! I got up early to have an archery lesson. It was brilliant !! the instructor, who believe it or not was actually called Archer, was knowledgeable, and professional. After running through the bow, arrows, safety and rules, we were able to have fun in some competitions, which I lost easily 😁, but enjoyed immensely. He was a fabulous young man who set a great example. Thank you.

A fab stay at Finlake. A huge well maintained dog friendly park with a brand new well equipped gym. Reception staff were friendly and responded swiftly after reporting that the Lodge lacked basic kitchen utensils, which were delivered within 10 minutes of reporting the issue. Lodge was clean and comfy, although a little dated.|Finlake is situated in a great location for exploring south devon, with a 20-30 minute drive to Teignmouth, Exmouth, Exeter, Torquay and Dawlish. |We dont tend to go back to the same place, but after having such a great time at Finlake have rebooked.

Fantastic spa experience!
£20 for access to 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, showers, pool, and jacuzzi is great value! There are also deals if you plan on visiting regularly that are even better value. Very clean facilities and good heat from the sauna.

Such an amazing resort, we only went for a short family weekend for a quiet break. But definitely one we would book again to adventure around the park and get more involved in some of the activities. The swimming pool was great for adults and kids. Our 5 year old absolutely loved it, and the slides were so much fun for all.

Lovely holiday really nicely presented cabin, facilities on site and great and lots to do without having to drive anywhere. Only negative would be every time we took the car out our gate would be left open by someone, didn't seem to be the staff and the cabin was supposedly for sale so not sure what went on there as you expect privacy and trust but it seems anyone is able to access the site regardless of staying there. This was the only downfall otherwise we had a wonderful week
