Started the Cuthbert trail in Melrose and I can’t recommend the Fiorlin B&B highly enough. The proprietor, Kenny, is an absolute gem, very welcoming and informative. Our breakfast was amazing, delicious and beautiful, a real work of art. The beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms are large and clean, the showers hot. The rooms are tastefully decorated and with great amenities. Perfect location in the heart of town, quiet and very spacious, a 10/10. I would love to stay again

We came back to Fiorlin in March having enjoyed a lovely stay previously. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are excellent: Kenny prepares a freshly cooked breakfast to your choice. Melrose is a pleasant little town with plenty of choice for eating out in the evening. The local countryside is good for walking and Fiorlin is conveniently located as a base for walking the very good Borders Abbeys Way (our reason for staying this time) as you can get to start and finish points by bus. (We used the car on just two days out of six as, although it is possible to get the bus to Hawick, it takes 1hr 25mins). We can recommend Fiorlin for a peaceful, comfortable stay.

The most comfortable bed ever! We stayed for two nights to visit Abbotsford house and Jedburgh which were very easy to get to by bus. The hosts told us a lot of interesting information about the surrounding area and how to get around! The breakfast was delicious and I loved that it was made with local ingredients.

We loved our stay here. It’s very close to the abbey, and about a 1/4 mile at most from St Cuthbert’s Way. The room was quite nice, and our host, Kenny, was very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent!

Wonderful place to stay with Kenny. His hospitality and awesome breakfast made us feel comfortable and welcome. Definitely worth the visit.

Best breakfast I ever had in a B&B! Nice and clean rooms and comfortable beds. Modern and roomy bathrooms. Very Nice owners. Is located very close to Melrose Abby and The Center. Visited for our first night befor walking St Cuthberts Way in august 2024.

Overnight here before starting St Cuthberts. Fantastic BnB with wonderful hosts. Close to the Abbey and trailhead. Highly recommend

We stayed here twice during our Borders Abbeys Way walk. This is a B and B of the highest quality. Rooms are spacious and clearly have been set up with the needs of their visitors in mind. Mattresses are firm (not often the case in UK B and B’s). Showers worked beautifully. Location is convenient to everything. Plenty of space to unpack. And the breakfasts, prepared by Kenny, are on a gourmet level. If we come back to Melrose, we will definitely stay here again.
