Gorgeous B&B with a lot of music influences. Helen and Mike are friendly and welcoming hosts. Very beautiful gardens and wooded valleys from the patio. Had very engaging conversations over scrumptious breakfast with the hosts and the other guests. The best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed in. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend staying with them. Thank you for the lovely welcoming stay, Helen.

We stayed 1 night recently at the B&B and were astounded at the attention to detail. The host David was great and even let us in before the check in time as we were attending a wedding nearby. The rooms are spacious, lovely taste in decor, and also en suite. The shower was again spacious. Complimentary breakfast was excellent with a selection cereal, porridge sachets, pain chocolate along with toast jam etc. The table was all set by David at night for breakfast which was lovely and you helped yourselves in the morning. David also arrived to check everything was fine. That also turned the bed down before we arrived home which was a lovely touch as you would normally only get this at a 5 star Hotel if you were lucky. Plenty of parking spaces in a quiet location which suited us fine. We were located in the gold and silver room which looked over the valley which was nice. I stopped in the Gold Room for a few nights. The room and house is very modern and spacious. The photos listed by the owners are an excellent representation of what you get.||It wasn't listed as a bed and breakfast but they do provide toast/cereal so you can make your own which is a bonus. ||There was also super fast (100mb) free WiFi available all over the house. My favourite part of the stay was the balcony which has spectacular views.

This was our first stay at the Firbank Lodge but I know it won't be our last. A beautiful house with minute attention to detail, our room was perfect in every way. Little things like a socket near a mirror for hair drying and a proper make up mirror are things that even some of the finest hotels fail to provide, not the Firbank though, every need catered for. The kitchen and dining area, where you can help yourself to a continental style breakfast or just tea and coffee, has everything you could possibly need. However, the best thing about this place are the hosts, warm, friendly and generous nothing was too much trouble, we will be back!

A lovely room with a comfortable bed and excellent en suite. Our hosts were superb, gave interesting advice on the local area and places too eat. We were given a plentiful, tasty breakfast in the morning and we shared many laughs and tales.

I’ve stayed in various different types of accommodation in this area as I need to sit exams in the nearby college from time to time and I have to say this is the best of the lot. It comes at a fraction of the price the Holiday Inn asks for the en-suite room is perfect. The bed is comfortable, the room is spacious, the WiFi is good, both the room and bathroom is spotless, the shower is excellent, the owner is very welcoming and polite and I genuinely couldn’t find a fault with the place if I tried my hardest. The location is great though I never got to sit outside in the decent weather as I didn’t arrive until 7pm. I’d encourage anyone looking for accommodation to give this place a try as I found it to be a very relaxing experience. I have even stayed in the Balbirnie Hotel and I genuinely found this to be a better all round experience with a much more modern interior. Can’t recommend it enough and look forward to returning in the future.

This place was reccomended my a friend. I was sceptical however my ignorance was soon dispelled.
What a wonderful place for a wee break. If you are of the go places and do things ilk then I couldn't speak more highly.
The village is beautiful, respectful of Soldiers and history (If one ignores the Vulgar land grab of over-priced money laundering opertunities which are abound in Scotland).

The local town has a shopping center.

If you are more adventuist there are flying lessons available nearby and if you have children there are many walks which you can see the east coast in it's glory.

Once your day is finished then a few cocktailes on the deck with magnificent views is a great way to unwind. (If you've done jungle warfare you'll love it, especialy when the mist is in the Glen, check the plaque in the local pubs).

Finaly, the Hosts' like to leave you alone and you'll never see them unless you want to. There is some astonishing art on these walls which I can't afford but I'm very glad I've seen.

Our 3rd stay in four years and we'll definitely be back in 2020! Helen & Mike are the perfect hosts, presenting excellent accommodation, food and conversation. As frequent visitors to Scotland we still have yet to find another B&B that meets this standard.
