We had an unforgettable dining experience at Fischer’s Baslow Hall to celebrate a birthday, and everything—from the service to the food—was exceptional. The team went above and beyond to make the occasion special, with the waitstaff offering warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful service that added a personal touch to the celebration.

The food was absolutely incredible—each course beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, clearly crafted with skill and care. Every dish told its own story, and the attention to seasonal ingredients and balance made the meal feel both luxurious and grounded in nature.

The setting itself, elegant and tranquil, complemented the whole experience perfectly. It’s clear why Fischer’s holds its Michelin Plate status—it’s a place where fine dining meets heartfelt hospitality. We’ll absolutely be returning and recommending it to anyone looking for a truly memorable culinary experience.

We stayed one night and we had dinner on site. This is a beautiful house in a very delicate English garden. From the moment we arrived, the staff looked after us, made us feel welcome and very special.

We had an exceptional dinner with a 6 courses menu served at perfect temperature and with paired wines, recommended by the sommelier.

The breakfast was also a beautiful experience in the exquisitely decorated dining area.

. Sleep: the mattress was very very soft to a point we did not sleep well at all. It felt like we were sleeping on a waterbed, which is very uncomfortable especially after dinner.
. The selection of champagne is very good, however £25/£30+ a glass plays the magic of the place down.

We stayed in the Haddon room, which is beautiful with a lovely garden view, comfy bed and clean minimal bathroom. We had the tasting menu which was a great way to try lots of tasty dishes. Breakfast was really nice, the staff were all welcoming and ensured we had a comfortable stay. We definitely plan to return.

The building & the setting are fab. Beautiful gardens & a warm friendly welcome. Service was excellent. Unfortunately it appears the kitchen is living off its past reputation & is no longer (in my opinion) fine dining standard. Very disappointed with the quality of the food. The starters were not up to scratch , main courses & desserts OK. Excellent wine but rose by the glass crazily over priced. £23.50 for a 175ml glass of English rose is difficult to justify.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent weekend stay, for our special occasion.
The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful. Our luxurious room was beautifully decorated and the bed very comfortable.
All of our meals were delicious, and we were very impressed with the extensive wine list.
Our whole experience was delightful, no doubt due to the great attention to detail that everyone has here.
The fabulous grounds and gardens add to the serenity of this beautiful place.
We are so glad that we chose Fischers and hope to return.....

Visited Fischer's at Baslow Hall for an early valentine's dinner with my partner. Neil and the serving staff were great and very friendly. The service never felt rushed and we had a drink in the bar area before being shown to our table.

My partner and I have eaten at a fair few fine dining/Michelin restaurants over the years but this was the first time we've booked the Kitchen Bench experience. Ant and his kitchen staff were all very professional and relaxed and were happy to chat, have a laugh and answer any questions we had. They explained the dishes and the processes behind them and it was interesting to see the dishes being assembled and 'coming to live' on the pass.

We enjoyed a 9 course tasting menu with some of the highlights being the fish course (especially the Bouillabaisse which it was served with), the Mushroom Pithivier and Egg Custard Tart!

We were both very pleased with the whole experience and would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks for a great evening!

Food only not hotel.

How does anyone not give this 5 stars. Omg. It was amazing. Did the taster menu. Plenty of food. Absolutely amazing. It’s not cheap. But worth every penny.

Want to give it 6 stars.

The venison on the picture has finely chopped Brussels sprouts. I hate Brussels sprouts. They are the devils food. These were so good I saved them for last on my plate. Christmas brussel sprouts has changed for me.

We went her for our 10th anniversary and cannot fault the place. Gorgeous atmosphere, delicious food and outstanding service. It's been the third time we visited, and we'll be back for more.
