I've been looking forward to going here for a while and my daughter took me for dinner as a treat. The server was polite and we didn't have to wait long for our food, which was lovely. We both had steak and ale pie followed by apple and cherry crumble.
I would have given five stars had the heating been on. It was absolutely freezing in there. The radiators we checked as we left were equally as cold as we were.
If I pay a return visit it will be in the summer when it's warm and I'm not sat shivering while I'm eating my meal.

Restaurant 4/5 - lovely staff, good selection

Nice night away, but not great facilities
Bath didn't drain from the start (second person had to shower with half a tub of water at their feet) and when it finally did, I don't know what this gunk is!!
Be aware the windows are single glazed and don't shut tightly, you will hear the river loudly in your room!

Can’t fault it to be honest, currently on my 3rd day here.

Food is decent out the front is lovely would be great in the summer to hang out, rooms are clean extra pillows, comfortable bed fan and heater.

Room has been made up daily remote location, no noise or anything at night.

Will be booking again in the summer

Outstanding location with incredible views, the atmosphere was great and the restaurant is amazing and the place was packed and buzzing however the food was a bit disappointing. I had a Sunday roast as did my partner but the meat was overcooked and the veggies a bit under cooked and the service was non existent but I do understand that it was a really busy day and I won't write this place off just yet so I'll definitely give it another go

A wonderful Pub set in Exe Valley with stunning views over 19th century Bridge & river Exe. Great food, good selection of craft ales, wines and classic beers. With free parking and a friendly atmosphere, I'd recommend spending a good few hours there, enjoying the gardens, food & views. Dog friendly, so bring your pooch.

Just popped in for a meal so can't comment on the rooms. Staff were very helpful despite being super-busy on New Year's Day. Food was hearty and tasty, with good veggie dishes to choose from.

Occasionally I like to visit the Fishermans cot as a special treat. I come down from North Devon to do some fishing and then have a lovely meal, whilst sitting by the river. its perfect.
this trip though it was out of season so I sat by the fire and chilled out

Thr room was very hot due to boiler in roof space next door. We had to sleep with the windows open to try to regulate the temperature. Out of 4 bed side lamps only 1 worked. The tv only showed BBC 1 and cartoon channels. Our meal was warm and no sauces on the table or the offer of any.
