Where do I even start?! Imagine the most disgusting place you could ever stay - this is definitely worse than that. The smell, the stains, everything was so dirty, old and broken, the shower in room 7 doesn’t work and the hot water is literally a trickle. It’s not been cleaned in years. The hotel doesn’t have staff so there’s rubbish left all over the place, wires every where, electric box open. It’s not for family’s infact it’s not for anyone. It needs environmental health to close it down. See the pics. Honestly do not book here you will definitely regret it and possibly catch a disease as well. You’ve been warned.

Location was excellent, literally 3min walk to the seafront. However hotel itself was a disaster; we booked 2 rooms - 1st was not ready when we checked in (hadn't been made up from previous resident), and 2nd room just wasn't fit to stay in (dirty, broken lock, etc). So we phoned up hotel staff to cancel and ask for refund. The service/response from both the hotel and OYO was excellent - fully understood position and could not have been more apologetic, received a full refund.

The pictures on here and other sites are very misleading. They date back to when the hotel was owned by other people that actually lived there and took care of the place. Now, the place is deserted with no staff on site. the code to the hotel is emailed 7 hours before you arrive and also the code to the bedroom assigned to you. We had an issue where one code to the room didnt work. Two phone calls later and a visit from a local technician we eventually got into our rooms. Our first room seemed decent, two single beds pushed together but with no room to swing a cat. The toilet smelled, the room was hot and we couldnt turn the radiator off. Apart from some cobwebs dangling from the ceiling it was okay. Our second room however was horrible. Down a dark corridor which was so narrow both my shoulders touched the walls. The room was at the back, two single beds again. The toilet door wouldnt shut, it was actually detached from the hinge at the bottom. It was only later when i needed to go to the loo before bed that i realised the toilet floor was soaking wet, it seems the radiator was leaking and judging by the smell for some time. The drawers encroached on the exit so needed to make sure you didnt catch your hip on the way out. The ceilings were dirty with so many cobwebs, this hasnt been cleaned properly for some time. Having said this the bed was comfortable. Would love to have stayed here some years back when it looked a lovely hotel. You get what you pay for I suppose.

I booked and checked in online but didn't realise there would be no staff at the reception at any time. The whole place looked as if it had seen better days and appeared to have been decorated last in the 80s. I had a few questions which required contacting the call centre. The call centre staff were friendly tried their best to be helpful so no personal criticism, but obviously they would not have a detailed knowledge of the rooms or facilities. I only booked a single room for 1 night, so I tolerated the leaking pipe in the toilet, extremely cramped shower and very thin pillow. Wouldn't stay there for more than a night but at £42 you get what you pay for.

Firstly I found the room to be described as a double where it was a single with a double bed in it making the whole room very cramped bathroom facilities dated and attention to detail regarding cleanliness and maintenance lacking. Shower gel containers from a previous guest still visible||Small things like an extra blanket or pillow hair dryer were lacking||For some reason on our last morning in the room there was no cold water but the toilet cistern made up for it by constantly flowing after it was flashed.||On a plus side no bed bugs were found as reported by a previous guest, it is a shame with the facilities that are available on the ground floor including lounge and bar area that the hotel is not manned 24-hours a day to give a much more pleasurable experience to the guests I also feel that someone on site at all times is essential in case of emergencies rather than at the end of a phone.||However I do feel that the hotel has potential to be a very nice place to stay attention to detail is important and if a little more care and attention was directed towards this the hotel would improve dramatically

Disgusting place! We got to the hotel and the door was wide open with no one on the reception desk, I had no idea how to enter our room until I read a notice on the outside door with a number you had to ring. They claimed I should have had an email sent with the door lock pin codes but didn’t send it until I’d made the call. |Outside looked good there was even a very out of date 4 star rating on a plaque! When you get inside it’s dark, dingy and smelly. It says there is a bar but it looks like it was last up and running in the 70s along with the dry water features. The tv lounge has no tv and all of the tourist info leaflets are at least two years out of date. I would’ve loved to seen this place in its hay day! It’s such a shame it’s being ran into the ground by a company that clearly doesn’t care about its reputation.|There were several big laundry bags left at the bottom of the stairs, surely this is a bit of a health hazard.|Our room number 3 had a big crack in the ceiling and lumpy floor, the only working plug socket moved about in the wall, we had to balance the kettle on a stool on top of a chair to get it to work, the tv and Wi-Fi don’t work, there was hair in the bath, the bathroom door didn’t shut with no lock. The toilet roll holder was missing and we only had one towel each. Only one flat pillow on the bed each and the bed was very hard. It absolutely stinks in this building and they’ve tried to spray an awful cloying air freshener to cover it up. There was a piece of wooden trim broken off above the bed and the light above the mirror also didn’t work. When we were discussing what to do about the tv for the evening we got a knock at the door from a guy claiming to be the manager saying we were being too noisy! We were only talking and it was 8:30pm! If the place hadn’t been so shabby we wouldn’t have even been discussing it. |I’m shocked that this place is acceptable enough to be on lastminute.com surely there’s a certain standard for these type of places to maintain. I tried to make an official complaint via lastminute.com and they didn’t want to know, neither did oyo. I really feel like I’ve completely wasted our money and this place has ruined our stay.

. The Hotel was discusting. I had to spend as liitle time as possible their due to the smell which smelt like raw sewage. Their were electrical cables visible in the walls and alarms going off at all times of the day and night. The room was tatty and dirty with cupboards damaged and no tea or coffee in the room. The shower was dangerous as t would fluctuate from cold to scalding hot. Things were so bad I was forced to leave a day early. In my opinion this hotel is not safe and needs closing down before someone gets hurt or worse.|

I wasn't expecting much for my money (it was good value, especially considering the location) but I was still let down.

If all you want is a room that you're only going to use to sleep this should be fine for you - as long as you enjoy hard beds with non-existent pillows. We had one pillow each, and mine was about 95% air; I even tried folding it in half to double it up and it still couldn't support my head. In the end I used the cushion instead.

We had a double room and it was very compact. If I had to guess I'd say it was previously part of another room that had been partitioned to create another. The bathroom also suffered from this - if you're a larger person you may struggle!

Our bedroom door felt very heavy suggesting that the closer wasn't set up correctly, but also it occasionally didn't close properly - the first night our room was unlocked! But I didn't worry because, although the rooms are described as 'sound proofed,' I could hear literally every single thing that happened outside, including: everyone walking past our room, cars driving past, full conversations in the next room, etc.

Speaking of the listing don't expect a rainfall shower, 32 inch TV, or mini golf on site. I guess you could generously describe the shower as like rain, and the TV was perhaps 32 inches around.

Finally there's no staff on site - it's all run remotely (even the locks are electronic) so bear that in mind if you think you may need any assistance whatsoever. Also as we were entering for the first time someone was leaving as his room had been given away which didn't fill us with confidence - I'm not sure whether we were lucky or unlucky!

All in all it's fine, but if you can I'd stay anywhere else!
