I’ve never really had an overly impressive experience with any butchers and always seen them as £££ - but I am massively impressed with Flanagans! Huge range of meats with lots prepared and marinated.

Fantastic price for the quality and the quality has been fantastic every time. The gents are accommodating and happy to pre prepare/package if you give them some notice ready for your freezer.

Fully recommend! ☝🏼

I haven't been for a couple of years because I live 8 miles away but popped in yesterday. A small black pudding and six sausages cost more than £9. I was a bit surprised so expected them to taste amazing. The black pudding was ok but no better than Aldi. The directors sausage was nice but no better than any other premium sausages in most supermarkets. I remember T-bone steak used to be around £12 per kg but it crept up to around £16 per kg less than a year ago. Yesterday it was £27 per kg. After discussing this with someone from Crawley Down today, they told me that the original owner had retired and apparently it's now being run by new people but lots of the old staff have left. It's just an average expensive butcher now as far as I'm concerned and will shop closer to home. I was a bit disappointed but nothing lasts forever I suppose.
