Tucked away in Durham, Flat White Café offers a simple yet inviting atmosphere, and its namesake drink lives up to the reputation. The flat white (£3.60) comes at a steep price, but the presentation is impeccable. The creamy, velvety texture of the milk combined with a rich espresso makes it a delightful sip from the first to the last drop. It’s easy on the palate, and adding a dash of brown sugar brings out a lovely sweetness that perfectly complements the coffee’s smoothness.

On the downside, the café struggles with condensation on the windows, which hints at a need for a better ventilation system or extractor fan. It's a minor gripe, though, and doesn't detract from the overall experience.

While the price may be a little higher than expected, Flat White Café delivers in taste, style, and ambiance. Highly recommended for any coffee lover looking for a quality brew in Durham.

Really tasty coffee, which is excellent quality. The honey, however, was a bit disappointing, and didn't taste quite as good. Expensive but nice atmosphere and staff.

The atmosphere was nice and staff were friendly, but overall I would not say this was one of the great brunch places that I have been to. It was very busy, with a massive queue so it was quite rushed with the time we could spend there, which of course makes sense. The food was bit more on the pricey side especially for the portion size and in comparison to other brunch places I have tried. Overall the food and drinks were still quite nice.

Cute little cafe down a back street, my friends and I visited during a day trip to Durham. It was so cold but there wasn't enough room to sit inside so we sat outside which was cute but not super comfy. I had a piece of banana loaf and a matcha latte. The cakes were delicious but the matcha was foul. I love matcha but this was bitter and had a weird aftertaste. Beware matcha lovers!

We were only here for the coffee. We search for a quality flat white wherever we find our selves on holiday.
In Durham this was the best flat white we purchased. It really is the flat white cafe.
Looks great, delightful textured milk and full flavoured. The perfect start to the morning.

Had two flat white coffees, sat on their street seating and enjoyed relaxing. The coffee was perfectly made and probably one of the best coffees that I’ve had in a long time.
